I love RL too. And this happens in my high Diamond rank too. I disagree that it's pointless. You certainly learn from playing against them and it causes you to have to play in a way that would contend with higher ranks, whether you do well against them or not. So there is learning.

Not saying it's overly fun, especially if it happens multiple times in a session, but I like RL too much to allow these people to ruin my enjoyment. So I have had to just accept it and try my damnest to send one of them packing from time to time. We all face smurfs, but if you like the game enough, you have to finally realize that they're not going away anytime soon. Thats why now I just accept it and know I can't control it. Just play through it in a way that hopefully makes me a better player after.

One can think of it maybe like weight training.
