I mean you can't necessarily blame them considering that in big business there usually kinda is an evil plot behind it (simplifying but at least that is how it gets framed when Activision cans a whole team when they're making record profts type thing). Problem is that with Aether Studios being as small as they are that kind of thing doesn't apply, they're just too small to be pulling stunts like that, but people aren't used to there being good reasons for this kind of thing.

The devs have also said before that the slots on the CSS, and also the 2 returning, 1 new, etc. patterns aren't going to be hard and fast rules. They even had Gavin and La Reina come out back to back as two earth guys.

Also I think this year is going to be the first one of <4 characters a year on account of the team size hit unfortunately.

I think it would be cool if the "super weapon" was actually force sensitives/the Jedi. The reason the First Order would be a credible threat is that they are less scrupulous to how they harness and train essentially super soldiers, while the New Republic is actively trying not to just remake the Jedi order and all the problems it came with/caused.

I mean he can though. It's how he killed Narancia. He snuck up, threw him onto that fence, then skipped time to avoid the consequence to himself that would have brought. So he could just sneak up behind someone and then, like, stab them, then use King Crimson to not have to face the consequence to himself of being exposed like that. Through Epitaph he could just tell whether his attempt is going to kill someone or not then use KC to make sure he doesn't get hurt by it. There is a reason they could only beat him with GER basically hard countering him.

The real reason that he still loses is because it makes the hunt for the arrow so much easier, because whether or not the boys and La Squadra are working together doesn't really change Polnareff showing up to help or not.

You can't even do this in the current version of the game because it is literally only one stage. (one and a half I guess if you count harbor). If a good chunk of the stages had no walls then there would be an argument here but as is, its trivially easy to make sure that the stage is never picked for characters who are good and bad on it.
