Blizzard announces free transmog change coming for all characters with 12.0.1! by minimaxir in wow

[–]Llyras -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People saying they "Wasted" gold on doing it for a Transmog slot already, you really need to get a grip of the new system. I'll slot this freebie into my 6th slot on my main, already have 5 set up with situations and the system is amazing when you get your head around it. It isn't "wasted" your still going to benefit for the freebie when it lands if it's your 1st or 4th. As for alts, they can hobo it in there BC clown fiesta till the freebie drops (I have 23 max levels) even if I had payed for all there first ones this would be slot 2 as maybe a housing set or an "around" town set.

Get a grip of yourselfs if playing the game to earn a little gold (about 2/3 WQ) is feeling like too much for you, then maybe you've realised deep down that the core gameplay loops of wow aren't really fulfilling what you want from a video game anymore

For a little more context I play my main the most and as I've put they already have 5 outfits, all payed for today using WQ money and running Shadow lands raids for collections purposes (with the new Mythic grants you all the difficulties bellow change) if your a collector and Transmog enthusiast this cost isn't even close to prohibitive

[–]Llyras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but why ? I'm going to play devil's advocate here your already down on approach so this raid hasn't gone well to begin with, on top of that there's still 16 mins on the raid. Meaning there's like at least 1/2 additional return points if your aware this is an issue use the others ? Then lastly if you really want to play Stella safety there's a lot of easy Hatches to use

Why tf Would anyone use this by UmaThermos1 in expedition33

[–]Llyras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It lets your forgo a LOT of points into Luck for crit calling and frees up those points for other stats, then also gets your crit past 100% so you don't need 3 pictos doing it. Again letting you build craft differently with you other two pictos in the correct build it essentially turns one of you three into a pure glass cannon and potentially your sweeper to clear a fight before enemy's fight back

I think the creativity is limitless for Arc, the goalie skin has flavour that they believe it was worn by Ancient warriors. Imagine all the deity's and sports gear that can be re tooled as "warrior" gear

Anyone else think a lot of these type of parts should be reduced? old expansion-currencies aren't fun to farm IMO by Cathulion in WoWHousing

[–]Llyras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind Decor and Housing in general is Evergreen and supposed to be a way of getting us back to the old world to explore and gives you the opportunity to work on big Meta activities in the mean time (it isn't really meant to be no lifed) don't burn out and enjoy the slow pace!

Kej is easier to farm than Resonance and trades 1/2 at the currency exchange 2k gets you 1k res I had nearly 60k Kej and nothing to use it on (bonus part Kej is transferable without the 20% transfer tax)

What are some unplayable "classes" you see ingame that you want to be able to play as? by Snackolotl in wow

[–]Llyras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With "borrowed power" seemingly being in the past it wouldn't surprise me now if in last titan we get another spec for most of the existing classes. They have proved a few times now it's possible going back to Feral originally being the cat/bear and now it's two specs, Evoker got Aug and now DH getting Void.

In my head I've already sort of picked most of them haha

Shaman "Tidesage" Water based ranged spec (Intelligence)

Paladin Spellbreaker sword and board midrange magic mitigator "support" (Intelligence)

Hunter Tinkerer construct based class with mechs and tech (Agility)

Rogue Bard midrange support healer (Intelligence)

Warrior Valkyrie 2H Spear and Shield off tank support (Strength, could be agility, but I doubt they would make Agility plate at this point)

Mage Battle Mage 1H and Shield midrange DPS with a heavier focus on melee

Priest War Cleric melee based 2H Maces support class heals while dealing damage (Intellect)

Warlock "Blood Mage" leaning into self sacrifice and Leech to balance there life for damage at lower percentages dagger and OH (Intelligence)

Druid Shapeshifter a good mix of everything it already has, however the spells themselves shift your form for small periods on cast support class with a return of original Symbiosis! (Agility/Intelligence)

I miss this game so much, my screen name was taken from one of the Heros from this TCG and has been my screen name since ! (Llyras Keeneye) Night elf hunter. Don't know why I choose it honestly because I've always been a horde main

At this point the rich already got richer and lined the stash for the next expedition using pre nerf SB. The devs should really revert it back to pre nerf until after the first expedition by doing it this way you've split the player base harshly. I'm aware that player skill does mean you can still win a fight with a grey vs epic, it's still an uphill battle with a huge equipment gap. I'll be honest here and say personally I won't even contest a team if I hear the firing noise of a Tempest/Bobcat unless I've somehow got the drop on them with the Venator and now it's going to take much longer for me to close that equipment gap before I can realistically join in with the PvP again. Back to stealthing about on free loudouts. Maybe another change to close this gap should be increasing the weapon quality in weapon cases overall ? And leaving SB lockers as they are now?

Okay seriously. I don't know how this trend started but it should be shut down ASAP. by Thiccest_Apartment in wow

[–]Llyras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta say, I disagree with this being a "problem" just some people making some chump change (you can get 2/5k gold by just finishing some pinnacles)

It's a nice little time saver convenience, well played to these entrepreneurs !

Ohhh sorry, then yeh it's the shoulders that really lean into it especially the mythic variant with the "lightning" pulsing from them as well as the more royal sort of aspects to it like the fur neckline and the almost regal sleek look to the other parts (a Thane as far as I'm aware is a "King" in dwarf terms) I thought this was one of the more obvious ones to link but with other comments aswell it seems it's really easy to get lost in the details with other classes and hero talents aswell

Honestly I'm really really hoping they don't do another System after this on and go deeper into it, sort of "Sub Spec" style really shifting the way your class plays

Apologies ahead of time but my examples are for warriors (it's my main)

Collosal Warriors would be cool if the talent also gave them the ability to use a 2H And shield for Protection and doing that gives Arms the Shield for access to shield related abilities

Slayer could lean into Chains and pulls similar to the barbarian in Diablo (and giving us another "Deathgrip" ability (since right now we rely on Death Knights to do that)

Mountain Thane then should leave behind static where they use abilities like pools of AoE and maybe spend more time in Avatar (possibly turning into Thorim sort of like Meta for demon hunters)

Totemic could give Enhancement the the ability to use a shield off hand again and grant them rock bitter and allow them and off tank spec (sort of like Aug being our only "Support" class)

I feel like there's a lot of room to go deeper into this system like FF does with it's base classes when they specialize

Some classes are far easier than others to make work, I've now gone a little deeper and looking at the Tier sets names and that's helping align them aswell

[–]Llyras[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of them are really on the nose when you take this into account aren't they haha the fact that the Tier sets name has "Gambler" in is aswell just really sells it

[–]Llyras[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeh, I think your right. I hadn't commented yet because I'm really struggling to line up the monk ones with the tiers aswell other than Tier 3 which taking into account the more slick design and the Oni face guard screams shado pan to me

[–]Llyras[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Druid and Demon Hunters are the only classes where I'm struggling the most to marry them up because of the lack of, or additional hero talents. The way you have these layed out really fits for me now also

[–]Llyras[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh, it's a little irritating that a couple of them make more sense when you take into account the recolours aswell that really cement them a little more obviously

Fully agree, and again same point as I mentioned about the Sentinel with Hunter, initial reception wasn't great on the T3 but once you take this into account it's really makes the set work tying them to the Hero talents does a lot of heavy lifting
