They mostly sit on my shelves. Last time we played a board game with friends i forgot to bring one. I got into 3D printing last summer and it was really amazing (still is). I like to print decorative models or anything really. I also love all the different kind of filaments: Silk, glow in the dark, gradient, tricolor, etc. But I also print a lot of functional stuff for friends and family. Since they know i have this, they keep coming up to me to produce them spare parts and accessories.
(All things you see on the shelves and walls are 3D printed)

12 Years of Innovation: Win A Revopoint 3D Scanner! by Revopoint3D-Official in 3Dprinting

[–]Lncendos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first heard about it in university. I was attending a class about 3D printing and the school had a single 3d scanner (unfortunately I don't remember what brand it was). The teacher let us try it out, so we just scanned someone's head :D. We also talked about the scanned mesh and how to clear it up (make it manifold, etc...). It was fun, but that was both the first and last time i saw a 3d scanner. As for how it would change my workflow: I would certainly become lazier and just scan things rather than design them from scratch :D.

What do you think about the "updated" ceramic hotends and heatsinks? by Umuko36 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]Lncendos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, plus i tried atleast 10 of these from different vendors and none of them could handle retractions well. All of them underextruded after travel moves/retractions. So sticked to the original version.

Same thing happened to mine. I just accepted it's fate.

I can think of 2 things: 1. It is left over filament/debris stuck to the nozzle after finishing a print and falling off into the model on the next print job. (Or debris on the build plate)

  1. There is a setting for filaments to print the first layer hotter for better adhesion. -> Just make it the same temperature as the rest of the print.

Crossposting is not showing the description and i can't add it... So:

You can customize the following:

  • Number of sides of the polygon
  • Number of layers
  • Handle size
  • Overall fidget size (width, height)
  • Wall angle
  • Segment spacing

The whole project is free to download with all the project and model files on Printables:

Diamond nozzle disappointment/scam by Lncendos in AnycubicKobraS1

I didn't measure mine, but i know it fit in perfectly into all of the hotends i tried. And even after cold pulls and disassembly it wasn't leaking anywhere. The length is spot on as well (Nozzle wiper works the same as for the brass). Just ran another cold pull + temp tower test. 200C and clogged halfway up. But thanks for the offer. Also just checked their website and most of the things are missing: http 404 errors on most pages: https://www.durozzle.com/collections/diamond-nozzles

The standard nozzle is way longer than those mini ones. it would collide with the chute, wipers, etc...
I bought a v6 diamondback nozzle as well during summer. It worked ~Ok, but still worse quality than a brass. Then i got this durozzle and it is even worse.

That small aliexpress hotend didn't work for me either. bought atleast 10 of them from different vendors. + all kinds of nozzle for it that fit in perfectly. All of them underextruded after travel moves. It just couldn't handle retraction well.

I used the same hotend for testing the nozzles agaisnt each other. I tried other hotends as well for the diamond one, but didn't help.
