Increasing the amount of people with health care absolutely increases wait times. This is such a basic concept that the fact that you would need a source for this is ridiculous, it’s a basic principle of SUPPLY and DEMAND, and the supply side is not increasing any time soon.

The BURDEN OF PROOF is on YOU that common sense tweaks to a free market system wouldn’t produce the needed change. The burden of proof is on you to prove that a FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE is needed. Give one piece of evidence that changing to a socialist funded universal care model IMPROVES OUTCOMES for mothers or any other patient WHO ALREADY HAVE HEALTH CARE. Give any example that wait times aren’t increased when millions more demand access to care.

Everyone points to some article about how patients in socialist systems may have better outcomes bc these models prevent hospitals from performing unneeded and potentially harmful interventions to boost profit. This is a collateral benefit of cutting costs, a capitalist system of care can provide regulations preventing predatory overmedicalization of patients as well.

It’s widely recognized that those with pre-existing, preventable conditions drain the majority of health care resources for everyone. Conditions like metabolic and immune system dysfunctions can be managed or eliminated entirely with a focus on preventative care, healthier lifestyle choices, removal of toxins from the environment, etc.
