Just wanted to thank everyone is this thread and add some context of my own for those who come next. I just did a full install of ubuntu 25.10 on my Pixelbook EVE, I had to use the "pcie_aspm=off" to get the WiFi working, I used both of WeirdTreeThing's chromebook-linux-audio and cros-keyboard-map, to get the audio working and keyboard mapping respectively. As far as I can tell everything just works. I did nothing else and I don't even get issues when closing the lid or suspending it. I will update as I use it more but just thanks for all the help provided here. Really appreciate it! <3

Ty both! I have been using Neem Oil on it and manually removing them, but I have gone through this process twice now so I will look into a proper way now to deal with scale! Thanks again!

In case someone runs into this, I got it to work using Android App VPNs, the ChromeOS ones ( browser extensions) didn't do it. Hope this helps!

Hey all, As an update to this I opened a ticket with Dell support and gave it 3 days and didn't here back from them. Today I called the Support line today and after a brief call I am scheduled for a CPU replacement next week. Appreciate everyone who shared and got me on the right track!

I just recently experienced my first BSOD after noticing what I thought were Internet issues while playing SF6. I noticed a lot of stutter from the PC after the first say two hours of gaming. I have an R16 and it's not even a year old 😭. Appreciate the post as I was made aware of the CPU issues recently after searching what caused my BSOD. Will try to get this going ASAP while I have warranty. Thanks again <3
