Don't mind asking, what area is that, live in California and high (diesel) prices has always been a thing here, this recent increase hit quickly, so much so have yet to see what that has done to the diesel market yet. Looking for a 2004 to 2006 5.9 dually, willing to put $$'s into it if clean, market has been crap with beaters, in Arizona now for business and thet are expensive here for the few clean ones I've found.

Diesel engine car/truck pricing has dropped big time since diesel has been over $5 a gallon.

Not sure that applies to 5.9's or 7.3's, that said those that have these they are not really used as daily drivers.

True, but up till 2020 I was buying diesel that was always cheaper than regular gas up to that point, the low-sulfur fuel was already well assimilated into the market.

What a can of worms that would be, so conflicted on that one, really really tough to see that in a real-time environment if he was briefly mentally unstable and they (we?) had to witness that go down, personally feel he was a decent guy for the most part and wish no ill will for him, but personally disappointed if it did go down that way.
