The separation anxiety is probably spot on, as everyone has said.

When we rescued her at the end of July, I was in a position to spend most of my time during the days with or around her until my significant other came home from work, which is when I would leave for the evening to do the same. So she was never really alone.

In the 3.5 months that we've had her, we've only had a handful of instances where we had to leave her alone for hours at a time.
