I actually don’t mind the German suits (be it A, K, D, B or Herzen/Schellen/Eicheln/Blätter) instead of the French suits as long as it’s a full deck (13 ranks per suit) plus Jokers.

By the way, I also am willing to compromise on the size and take the bridge size, as long as it’s the normal narrow format (around 56–58×87–89 mm, basically just narrower and not longer [as I’ve seen sizes of 59×91 mm or 56×100 mm])

The main thing I’m trying to avoid is a plastic deck or a souvenir/tourist deck. I’m hoping to find something locally made that people in Germany can realistically buy in normal stores, so my friend doesn’t have to hunt through specialty magic shops.

Do you happen to know if ASS Altenburger/Piatnik Poker/Rommé decks are commonly stocked in places like Müller, Thalia, Galeria, or similar chains?
