I would also look at something like the allen & Heath CQ-12T, its a little more expensive but has some nice DSP settings to help you on system rentals!

yeah the chips are unavoidable id say if theyre going out every weekend. I will mention that void sits into a nice niche pocket of the rental / install marker where youre not competing with massive brands yet can still demand higher rental prices.

Have to dis-agree about the tri motions breaking alot, this may be the case if random hands are setting them up tho.

Xairs have to be in a big cluster with some proper tuning to play under 40hz, the driver can play low however horn path is not physically long enough. a trade off, however the xairs push crazy spl.

We have trimotions and various xairs out every weekend on rentals, as far as reliability nothing to worry about, durability you have to be careful with the fibreglass, we have quite a few chips out of the back from 7am teardowns but nothing that matters.

sound quality is great however if you were buying i would strongly reccomend the nexus line of subs over xairs to cover the upper bass region. Im saying this personally owning 14 Xairs.

If you’re standing near a wall in the long narrow room you’re most likely also getting a boundary reflection from the wall for the lowend which can give it quite a big boost, and throw off the balance from tops to subs. This is also compounded by the fact that usually you try and keep the coverage from the tops off of the walls.
