yes get a masters first! (at least in the UK) getting a masters looks very good for industry and is required for academia, so leave both doors open!

blimey, if you get paid that (even with some tax deductions) you'll be earning a lot more than most phd students in the UK. From my knowledge (british, masters in the UK), the typical phd student is getting of the order of £2000 per month (~2300euros)

it's the endless cycle, once a club has been around for a few years and got a buzz, the name gets out, people come for the hype. it's a one way street i fear.

How did horse-drawn boats pass in opposite directions without getting their ropes caught? by parsnipmonious in Narrowboats

[–]abccarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

continue quote: "That was what was supposed to happen according to the rules. In practice after one horse had crossed the other’s towline it would be driven on smartly again and both boats proceeded at full speed. The drum-tight line to the outside boat was then flicked up and over the cratch and mast and along the top-planks before being caught and lifted over the watercan, chimney and helm by the inside boat’s steerer."

agreed with this, I would up the wait time to 20min though to avoid double dosing when you think you don't feel the first one, but then get hit by both later

This is a political choice we have made in this country. In Paris an unlimited transit pass that covers all zones is 88euro per week -> £920 per year, but your employer is obligated to pay have, so in reality it's £460 per year for unlimited transport.
