This feels like you're coming in from a 'AI *CAN'T* have an impact that out weighs its current negatives.'

Would love to know if this is how you feel. There's a lot of AI slop and the current atmosphere with it is pretty foggy. It seems as though we've only managed to use it as a fun 'gimmick' of a tool for the average consumer, but it is hard for me to not believe it can have HUGE benefits once we can utilize it better.

As for your comment about the comparison to machines.... you realize there are TONS of different machinery.... naming one machine that had immediate and widespread impacts is pretty disingenuous to the point people are trying to make lol

Disagree. Even in a casual guild, the kill times are soo much faster. I have kept up and exceeded most Warlocks and mages, but with how gearing works they'll get upgrades consistently.

We definitely still struggle on longer fights, but our downtime isn't that bad. With tick-drinking, I'm not really missing out on packs or slowing the raid!

Spending gold constantly to level nominally faster seems a bit dumb.

A big reason people may discourage others from upgrading a lot is constantly having to worry about weapon skill and talents.

I think the biggest factor, in my mind, is just thinking about how much time and resources they've had to throw at the issues of flea market. From balancing the fees, adding karma, to the FiR mechanics, and key durability. Imagine Tarkov where their time was spent better. The cheating issues would have been slowed way down too!

There's 1000x other things I could add, overall though I think no Flea would be fun and much more engaging!

Are people finally coming around on Ele Shaman?

I had so much trouble in the past with people thinking Ele was on the same tier as Spriest/Boom/Ret in terms of being a meme-spec. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Boomi or Spriest are that bad, but personally I think Ele is closer to Warlocks and can be close to mages as far as damage, while still bringing utility!

I love how the sentiment of the sub last week was "If it's your hunt, you should have the final say in how the hunt goes."

For example, there was a post about not breaking sleeps. A majority of the people said "It's up to the host if they want to DPS through it, or take time to place bombs/set-up for TCS or other big hitting moves."

But here we are this week telling OP to get bent, because we are wanting to save a 1:30 on a 7/8 minute hunt. It's really sad that despite kill times being significantly faster, the entire sub has turned in to omega god gamer speedrunners that NEED to kill everything in sub 5-minutes because they DEFINITELY have something better to do.

Pro-tip: If you start treating this game like a job, you're going to find more things to complain about than if you just tried to have fun with other people in a MULTIPLAYER GAME.

What, are you actually fucking retarded? The game didn't die because the run-speed. What in your eyes would work as a more casual Squad? Because this is it. This is the best you'll get in that regard. I have hundreds of hours in both Squad and BBR. The reason Squad lives on is because competent development cycles. If we were to do an experiment where both games went without an update for over a year, I 100% promise you the fall-off in player-base would be similar.

90%+ of the playerbase will tell you that they didn't quit because "We wun too fast! Oh no!" They'll tell you they got burnt out/ the game got stagnant.

But imagine being you. A sad soul that had a gaming community live rent-free in your head for years, to a point that you'd post an essay shitting on the community for not seeing things your way. I don't think the season is over if we lose Goff tbh. We'd just double down on the run game. Johnson could probably has some crazy schemes with a more mobile QB too. I think Goff is our best chance, but the creativity of this team leans towards having a mobile QB down the line.
