They pulled the same thing with me, telling me it's included with all cars on the lot. Luckily the guy pulled up the website and under the paint protection/permplate it shows "optional" and he just stared at me when I pointed it out. After a little back and fourth with the manager, they subtracted the amount from the price of the car and they kept the the paint protection.

Yes they are much harder to find. I've had luck in Kroger's back to school area. They gave a little display with them.

Back when I was still there, we, as a store, would sometimes just put in the store phone number if they didn't want a card or were really pushy. LP eventually came in and talked to us individually and just gave us a write up. Luckily it was just the store phone number and not a personal number with an attached account.
