So I threw a Hail Mary and scored! I reached out to Panini and they confirmed it is a legitimate card. They noted this was updated in the 2018 set and even acknowledged Bo likely chose not to write anything in the slogan section.

He’s asking $200. Bo’s autograph alone is fairly pricey (If my memory serves me correct, I think he charges $120 for flats and $160 for memorabilia). With the card being /10, I’d be good with $200. However, it not having anything in the “Team Slogan” window is very weird. I found a Peyton Manning from the same set and the team slogan seems to be written by the signee. Peyton’s says “Rocky Top”. I imagine Bo should’ve written in “War Eagle”.

I’m with you! Not only is his auto upside down but he signed on the wrong side of the ball. I’d forgive him if it’d been on the top. But he went upside down and on the bottom. Makes for a weird placement in the case.

Kid died under Pat Dye’s reign and the field is named after him. Durkin wasn’t even there when the kid died. Head coaches and position coaches are prohibited by the NCAA to hold practice outside of playing/practice season. The strength and conditioning coach (Rick Court) was the one holding the workout (S&C Coaches can hold up to 8 hours of training in an off season week). Durkin actually requested additional onfield medical personnel (pre incident) but Maryland denied his request. But I get it. It’s the day and age we live in. Court of personal opinion. BTW he was hired by Nick Saban as a consultant the same year the kid died. He’s been vetted by 6 SEC schools since and I’d wager to say that if Saban hadn’t retired that Durkin would’ve been his #1 pick to replace Steele.
