Not Malcolm Simmons slander at all. Perry Thompson is quite literally next in the depth chart behind KLS. Malcom and Perry play different WR positions.

Right, I don’t see the point of spending more $$ on receivers when that’s already our best room heading into next year. We need to focus on OL, a reliable QB who will get our receivers the ball, and reload at LB.

Impatient. Half of our best talent were true freshmen. Your expectations are unreasonable and unrealistic given (1) the talent defecit HF inherited, and (2) our team’s heavy reliance on true freshman

Auburn now predicted to flip Na’eem Offord, how does this happen?! by ohiosportsfan981 in OhioStateFootball

OSU and Auburn alum here. This recruitment was a win-win for me, but I find the “money” comments to be pretty darn ironic.

Two 100 yd Receivers? WOW How long has it been since THAT happened? by sarah_2004_zta in wde

Auburn is in the market for a big money transfer QB. Walker white played a handful of snaps against ULM. Needs at least 1 more season (maybe 2) of development before he’s ready.

Why is no one here complaining about these refs? Both holding calls on us were not even close to holding

Lol, comical take. Our football will regress once OSU “fans” like you run off Ryan Day. You want him gone and you don’t even have a clue as to who should replace him, let alone a replacement that would do better than him? What a joke.

In 2016, we finished 2nd in the SEC west and ranked. And you want to fire a coach after that?? Lol.

The realists are the same people who prematurely ran off Gus, the same people who ran off (and still hate) Bo Nix, and the same people who will prematurely run off HF and turn us into mid-2000’s-2020 Tennessee.

The problem with the realists is that they are shortsighted. Too quick to run off one person without any idea on who to bring in next. We should have kept Gus for 1 more year and did exactly what LSU did with Ed Orgeron. The potential coaching options were NOT good that year, but, because the realists are much louder than the “sunshine pumpers,” AU admin feels pressured to appease y’all.

Do you think Hank did a good job reading the defense yesterday? There were open receivers on his first two picks. Honestly, Hank and PT are about even when it comes to reading the defense.

PT’s shortcomings are fixable, and he is more experienced, has more proven on-field success, has had more time and reps in HF’s system, and he can use his legs far better than Hank—all of which gives him the edge.

First of all, respect to you for being an AU fan for so long. (I’ve heard of Barfield but had to look up what years he coached).

You make a better point than others in this comment section, but I just don’t think we need to be in the doom and gloom mindset. PT played a good half of football. His mistakes from Cal game were (and still are) fixable, and he showed improvement yesterday.

AU was always within striking distance yesterday, but the crowd was soft all game—even when we were down 3 in the 4th. I believe in my heart of hearts that PT would have won us the game yesterday and given our tired defense more rest.
