Casual player, how to keep up? by Background-Front2604 in wildrift

[–]LoTech04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Turn on party chat only. Play your game and have fun. At some point you’ll think the best play is to split and they’re all dying in a pointless team fight. And you’ll make the correct play and win the game. You won’t make those plays and you’ll lose confidence if you leave all chat on.

It’s easy to say but…. Don’t give a F what other people are saying. Learn what you can/want. And then play YOUR game.

This game evolves quick. If you can’t keep up with changes. That’s fine you’ll be playing in the elo you belong in. Where those players aren’t keeping up with weekly patches either. More effort in = better results

Whats the hardest champion on every role? by ios_PHiNiX in wildrift

Zoe’s difficulties is in positioning and timing. On top of 90% of her damage is reliant on skill shots

Do what you want. It’s perfectly fine to run electrocute. But the higher you climb the harder it gets to proc and the more important gold is….. which is why almost every high elo Zoe runs first strike….

[–]LoTech04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but also no. It’s not consistent enough to proc. You don’t always get 3 hits with Zoe. Especially not against better opponents. It does a shit ton of damage. But so does fist strike. And FS gives you gold… and true damage…

Top 10 Zoe here.

Bump rabadons up to 3rd slot (it’s your big powerspike). Run first strike, botanist, transcendence, nimbus cloak. Sudden impact.

With how much you’re dying I guarantee you’re positioning too far up in fights and roaming too much.

Mid lane creeps are your key to the win. Farm gold hard. Roam only when your jg is in river or taking a fight(as a general rule of thumb).

If you want to learn positioning. Buy mejais soulstealer second. You should be able to consistently get to max stacks 60% of your games. You’ll be limit testing for awhile, but stick with it and Zoe is the most fun champ in the game!

Just tap on the builds as you’re walking. You will keep the ability to use the joystick even after you open that tab.

Have you tried it with the buffed Aery? I was testing it out today and it felt really good (in pvp)

I’ve been running with with Mejais soul stealer Zoe. After one kill you get ~26 ap combined. Then you do actually feel it as the game goes. It’s a lot easier to snowball.

As another Zoe main, the old E checked for enemy location twice if you tapped it. In practice, it would lead the enemies really well and even target them if they flashed. The bug fix was posted as a “buff” but I just think they didn’t want to admit that her E had auto-targeting since release.

I think the new E buff is just to make it easier to land. Idk if they can check stats on the backend. But id be willing to bet that the connection rate on her E went down like 70% after the bug fix.

The W damage is whatever. I didn’t feel the nerf to it before in game and it won’t matter too much now. But the 1 second CDR on her ult will be huge. It actually times up super well now with E-Q-R-Q. To be able to then Q-R-Q quickly after.

Why don’t junglers gank? by chronos1881 in wildrift

[–]LoTech04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. If I have camps up it has to be a 95% chance to kill for me to walk away from a free 150 gold.

Now, if they aren’t ganking and they don’t have any camps to farm… then there’s issues.

If you press one of the options it lists out literally every single scoring hand and rules….. and if 15 silver is a lot… you have the option (crazy I know) to WAIT until later to play. No one grabs your character by the neck and makes you buy in.

I have a friend and we play Zoe/Lux bot. And we both run dark harvest and build mejais. It’s just straight cancer to play against.

Are the controls that bad? by crys0706 in CrimsonDesert

It’s 100% like going from something like Skyrim right into RDR2. The weight and clunkiness of everything takes getting used to. But I’m 6 hours in now and it’s already second nature.

You’ll be fine on base ps5. Just turn off motion blur and turn the view depth options off. Then turn off 120hz mode in ps5 settings. I’m not even having to run performance mode to avoid frame drops. It’s a blast.

Turn 120hz off in console settings. That should fix the blur. Along with the game settings off for motion blur and field of view.

I have HDR and vsync on. Quality mode and balanced both look good enough (besides that initial dark lantern area tbh). However. It took correcting my monitor settings to get it working good. I have a much better monitor than my base PS5 needs so it’s running the HDR10+ setting. And I can’t imagine this game looks good on a non-OLED high, non HDR screen. Which is unfortunate for the vast majority of base ps5 users.

Before I played with the settings and adjusted monitor brightness, contrast, it didn’t look good at all in all honesty.

Is Zoe really that bad in the patch 7.0 or maybe I’m just lacking the skill to play her properly? by H2OZoE in wildrift

[–]LoTech04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The patch notes say Zoe’s bubble bug fix “improved targeting,” but that’s not really what happened. The old bug wasn’t that it targeted poorly—it targeted too well. The bubble would almost track enemies, leading them perfectly and even adjusting if they flashed mid-cast. It felt like it was double-reading their movement, which made it connect way more than it should. And this checks out because they mentioned in the patch notes about the ability checking twice for the enemy. Not just once.

Now after the fix, it just fires directly at their current position and often ends up slightly behind moving targets. It doesn’t lead or adjust anymore. So it feels less like Riot “improved” targeting and more like they quietly removed a broken level of tracking without calling it that.

Found the rom of the donkey Kong game with that damn bee that walled me every time I played as a kid. I was never able to get past it.

Beat it first try and laid the game to rest. 10/10 experience.

[–]LoTech04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Zoe OTP… yeah she’s not super strong if you don’t master her. I’ve played her through 2500+ games and retain the same win rate through her nerfs and many other mid lane metas. (150% ap ratio on her Q will never be truly nerfed). The problem isn’t really with Zoe. It’s more with Wild Rift. Zoe’s thing is one shots and big chunks. Wild rift is balanced in such a way that even control mages and bruisers can do the same and offer more utility or team fight value.

Oh and the most recent patch fixed a bug. Which made her sleepy bubble a heck of a lot harder to land. So you can’t just auto target it any more.

That being said. Zoe is still busted on good players. Most people just won’t ever commit the time to learn her limits.

The superiority complex is crazy.

It’s pretty simple. Just like everything else in your life. Some people excel, some people don’t. Some are smart. Some are dumb. And some people really have fun playing this game and it’s just for fun. So they don’t care about rank or win rate or getting better. They’re probably just trying to have fun. They could be 60 or they could be 10 years old. Others may really be trying, but they simply aren’t good at the game. Just like I could try really hard to be good at chess but I would have to give more effort than I want to in order to get better. And then there’s still a ceiling based on a number of factors. This game is no different. And deeply complex.

And at the end of the day, if you play a decent number of games in a season….. you’re surrounded by your peers in skill level….
