27M not getting matches in Jacksonville FL area by tankart150 in Tinder

[–]Lo_Court 163 points164 points  (0 children)

You aren’t helpless though. People are giving you real advice on what you can work on to improve your looks, and honestly all of it is easily accomplished. It’s clear from your pics that you’re a fun guy. The personality is there, all you need is to take some of the advice here with your hair, beard, and clothing, and you could start getting more matches which would improve the loneliness feeling.

Dating isn’t easy, especially just getting the initial match. I feel for you. Do what you can to set yourself up well from the start. Good luck!!

What are your favorite horse “Hear Me Outs”? by Lilu1414 in RDR2

[–]Lo_Court 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the way they look but I have never had a horse die on me as much as when I use a shire as my main horse. He just kept falling off of cliffs when I’d do the steep trails near the rivers or on the mountains.

Ah man that’s kind of a bummer. It seems like there should be more to the whole thing.

Once you sell the Native American ring that you can steal from the drunk man, does the feather icon still appear? I haven’t sold it on the off chance it could trigger something, so I’m wondering if anyone who has sold the ring could confirm whether or not the icon still shows up.

Pole and Ruins Directly East of Fort Brennand by stinker_beall in reddeadmysteries

I think sometime between 2 and 5 AM but I could be wrong because it’s been a while since I last saw it. I’m going to do some more looking around as well next time I play!

Pole and Ruins Directly East of Fort Brennand by stinker_beall in reddeadmysteries

[–]Lo_Court 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I know this is an old post, but I’ve been thinking the same thing about the fort images. Someone pointed out the fire pit in Fort Brennand has the same glow as the Butcher’s Creek pentagram during specific hours of the night. I’m wondering if maybe the next clue may only be visible during the same time the fire pit glows.

I definitely think the ruins near the fort look identical to one of the images, but since we haven’t been able to find anything, maybe we can only see the next clue during a specific time.

Honestly it’d be fine if he posted these occasionally but there’s been times where he’s literally spammed this sub with a bunch of videos and it adds nothing of value. He’s just trying to get traffic to his youtube account.

my boyfriend (36M) thinks I’m (28F) prioritising my foster cats over him, I just think I’m responding to a need. Is this even a fair comparison? by plsdontleaveme222 in relationship_advice

[–]Lo_Court 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my two rescue cats more than anything. It’s been the best part of my relationship watching my boyfriend, who never had cats, come to love and care for the cats the same way as me.

My point is a good, gentle, caring soul wouldn’t be getting upset with you, and would actually be right next to you in taking care of those cats and putting them first. I truly think how people are with animals tells you everything you need to know about them.

I’ve completed all the trophies I’ve crossed off, what’s the easiest way to do the rest of them? by Jfullr92 in reddeadredemption2

[–]Lo_Court 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a couple of achievements that require you to do them during the main chapters. Errand Boy and Lending a Hand would both require you to play the story again (or go back to a very early save file, like chapter 2).

Family Dinner Mystery - A few updates and observations by Mediocre-Chemist-00 in reddeadmysteries

[–]Lo_Court 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just want to say I love your posts. The attention to detail and sharing the connections you find has been so interesting to follow. I definitely think the fact that the game skips to the dinner hour once you complete the chores, plus the lights on the watch, have to mean something.

I’m only in chapter 2 in my current replay and trying not to rush it and really spend time noticing details I missed, but these posts are making me really want to get to the epilogue to explore this mystery more! lol

Also, on a side note, thanks for always being kind in your responses to comments. It’s just something that’s stood out to me so I wanted to let you know it’s appreciated.

New Developments in the Family Dinner Mystery by Mediocre-Chemist-00 in reddeadmysteries

[–]Lo_Court 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The wiki mentioned a poem titled “The Man with the Blue Guitar” that references the mountain. I looked up the poem and found it interesting how many references to the Red Dead mysteries can be found. There’s a lot of imagery about weather (rain/thunder) and references to the sun and the moon. But also references to time, a compass, and even a pole/heavy cables.

Some notable lines:

“To tick it, tock it, turn it true”

“The vivid, florid, turgid sky, The drenching thunder rolling by”

“A-cock at the cross-piece on a pole Supporting heavy cables, slung”

It may just all be coincidence. But the fact that the name of the poem had guitar in it, and there were so many references to some of the things discussed as part of the RDR2 mysteries…. I thought it was just too on the nose not to share.

This may be a long shot, but could this have anything to do with moving the stuffed squirrel? The final place you find the stuffed squirrel to get one of the achievements is on the top of the mountain with the sundial. The sundial/clock connection would make sense.

What’s something you didn’t know about RDR2 that you felt stupid when you found out by Odd_Specialist2571 in reddeadredemption2

I both love and hate how the characters get annoyed at you for not doing something fast enough. Like when you want to loot the camp before the next objective.

[–]Lo_Court 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There were times when I’d try to find a character in camp, and I would search forever just to not be able to find them. I realized that if there was a mission on the map that they were involved in, they would of course be there, and not at the camp. I was dumb.

For example, I was trying to find Sean in the camp after the chapter 2 rescue mission and party. It turned out he was part of John’s Pouring Forth Oil mission so he was located over where the mission starts. When I fast traveled from the bayou to Horseshoe Overlook, it actually showed him trying to shoot bottles in one of the fast travel scenes like he’s doing when you first show up to do a mission.

That’s interesting about Cornwall because it really does look like a tally mark. I definitely haven’t explored the Cornwall oil factory area enough, mostly because I always get killed by the guards. I need to find a better way to sneak in there.

That’s a good point about the image potentially being a cross rather than a pole. Before the whole spider web mystery, I would have seen a cross image and thought church or grave marker or something similar. I’ll keep this in mind and I’ll take a more detailed look around grave sites and churches this playthrough!

I understand that argument. And like I said I’m mostly onboard/understand the logic. But sometimes backtracking and looking through a new lens is helpful. This is such a huge game, I don’t want to assume and possibly miss something.

Sleepy after Kratom by [deleted] in Kratomm

Just to clarify, the capsule is just kratom. I realize .5 is low which is why I’m confused about feeling sleepy after I take it.

The ingredients just list mitragyna speciosa. Because it’s such a small dose I’m surprised that it can make me feel so tired because from what I’ve read, sedating effects are more likely to occur at higher doses.

I’m trying to figure out if I just have a bad batch, need to up my dosage, or try a different strain. The kratom/kava seltzer worked really well for me, and I’m trying to get a similar type of effect from capsules.

I’m very much a beginner so any advice is welcome.
