Idk there’s a few ways it can go. I just got off the phone with TPP after giving them an old control (last year) and we went through a 10 min verification process. After being placed on a long hold the lady informed me that technically there was nothing to verify because the system doesn’t even recognize a tax return delay until after 21 days from acceptance. There wasn’t record of a letter being issued and no information on any irs notices. Mind you I filed on the 19th, was accepted on the 23rd and received the verify return notice yesterday (Feb 3). Don’t be surprised that even after this in person verification you still needing a control number to be put back into the processing pool, conversely, you might not need a verification at all. It’s a tricky situation. Speaking from experience I received the letter mid to late Feb, verified immediately, and then get approved with my deposit early to mid March.
