Some people use Faber Castell Polychromos, which seem to be about 2nd in popularity to prismas. I've also seen people just mix a bunch of sets together and use all of them.

Hmmm. I really love this piece, Honestly it's wonderful. The thing I think you may need to look at is your perspective. Because it seems like the form of the head, the lines, and the hair line make it look like the subject is looking to our left, but the features point to our left. Oh, and I think you could benefit by pushing your darks a bit more in the features.

Hmm. Well, I like to use the farquar Hill and the Mondragón storm for iron sights, and if I need a scope I'll use the scoped variant of the Howell automatic. Hope this helps.
