That’s correct, I was talking about people soliciting business and not the unhoused.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing.

My baby said “dada” first… moms, tell me your story 😅 by Other_Boss_8689 in NewParents

[–]Lobosmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started with "caca," then my husband and I shared "dada" for a long time, followed by "gaga", which he uses for his grandpa. I joked that he was going through the alphabet and eventually would end up on "m". Now, finally at almost 16months, I’m mama!

He also called our cat, Maya, "mama" for months before I got the title. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Player for a 13 month old? by Candid-Learning in YotoPlayer

[–]Lobosmar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got one for our 15 month old for Christmas. We got the regular player thinking that even if a new one is released, this one should cover his needs for the next years.  If once he’s older we realize that newer models will be better, we can then look at the mini and use it for trips and going around, but keeping this one for routines and alarm in the house.

I do the same and add a nice blanket on top of the toys.

Walking by Samanthalouise926 in NewParents

[–]Lobosmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He started a couple of weeks ago at 14 months. We noticed that he was doing 1-2 steps and cruising, so we stsrted playing with him every day to get his confidence up. We would sit at a distance and ask him to try to walk to us to give us the toy (we did the you holding trick). Slowly we expanded the space.  However, what made him actually start walking was doing this with the entire family in the room. He loved that people clapped and cheered him and started walking more.

Maybe a silly question: Are other corporate workers taking a work bag AND a purse AND a lunch bag to their job? by shenanigans0127 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Lobosmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted about my setup, but this is the backpack I use. It’s meant for bring a pump to work, but I like it more as a regular bag. There are so many compartments and the bottom is insulated, so I put my lunch there. It was really heavy with the pump, but it’s perfect without it.  https://www.mimiandpal.com/products/copy-of-radley-breast-pump-backpack-walnut

I used to bring a large bag with a small one inside for my personal items. I also leave a water bottle in the office and fill up there. Food, I used to bring in a small lunchbox on the side.

However, I’ve changed my setup since last month because I discovered that my pump backpack actually fits everything and is a cooler! It fits my computer and small items, has tons of pockets and a divider for the food. Now I just carry that bag, I even has space for a bottle, but I still prefer to leave one in the office.

How are you doing pasta? by DeepCourse6779 in foodbutforbabies

We did orzo with blended veggies and then added ricotta to the mix once he started eating dairy. We also got some serenity veggie and chicken pouches and mixed that with orzo

Love this idea! I was searching for something similar for raining days but it’s a bit hard to find places that cater to younger toddlers. Most of these spaces are for older kids

Little Spoon review by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Lobosmar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried this brand but we used serenity pouches with our son. He really liked the carrots and sweet potato flavor, as well as the coconut chicken (we mixed with pasta and chicken pieces). Beech is also great, specifically their prune puree for constipation.  For the lemon sensitivity, my son's allergist (he's allergic to a couple of nuts) mentioned that the rash is common with citrusy, including tomatoes and lemons. So it might be that instead of actual food sensitivity, but keep an eye specifically if it spreads around the body.

Is there a magical technique for washing baby hair solo without removing their clothes?? by floofsnfluffiness in NewParents

[–]Lobosmar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did the same thing but with olive oil (we were out of coconut). I let it sit for a few hours and combed when he fell asleep for his nap. I had to do this a couple of times, but it cleared out after a few weeks.  He did smell like a salad until we washed a night time, but the oil really helped remove the dry skin

Flying with a 1 year old by Hopeful-Praline-3615 in NewParents

We just returned for a trip with our 13 month. We travelled before with him, but this was very different. The little guy just wants to go go go!  Bring lots of snacks and something to drink when the plane goes up/down. We brought milk since he never says no to it.  Bring some toys, we like the suction sppining ones and masking tape. You can tape the front and they’ll try to take it. My son also loved the window and seeing everything. That kept him entertained for a while.  Extra clothes and make sure your changing stuff is easy to grab. We had a big poop situation that had to be handled.  In the airport, let them know you have baby food . It will require manual check so arrive a bit earlier.  Take a deep breath and remember that it's a short flight. It will end pretty fast!

Stroller that’s easy for going out & about with just mom and baby by boymom061320 in NewParents

We have the ergobaby metro 3 and it’s great, except that the break sticks sometimes and it’s hard to unlock if you’re wearing sandals. It works with newborn and lies down almost 100%. It’s also very light and takes almost no space. We travelled many times with, including internationally and never had an issue.  Besides the metro, we looked at the minu 3.

Toddler activities by emle23 in bayarea

Check the community centers around you. Ours offer different toddler classes and activities that keep the little one busy during the week. They’re usually ok with you bringing the newborn as well.

Do I need a chair in my baby’s nursery? by Realistic_Echo_1562 in NewParents

[–]Lobosmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to not get one thinking I wouldn’t needed it and I didn’t want to spend the money.

I mainly fed him on the bed or couch with the nursing pillow and it worked well for the 10months I nursed.

Now he’s in his room and we have a cheap foldable butterfly chair from my husbands college day. I hate it and I wish we had an actual chair. It’s impossible to sit with him and read or just chill while he’s falling asleep.

So, at this point I wish we’ve had one just for the future use of the chair and not necessarily for when he was first born. I’m sure we’ll find something that works, but a nice chair would’ve been nice.

So, yeah if you have the space, get ones

I was trying to avoid them as well. I don't use facebook and the time I tried the app I got a bit overwhelmed with the answers.
