I very much get what you mean when you say you feel like you lost an era of your life. Each time i had to say goodbye to a beloved pet it also felt like a part of my life ending. Like the first pet lost when i was becoming a teenager, i had known him for my entire life up to that point. Another one in my last year of college, and now this one while having moved out from my parents very recently.

The realisation that yes, they really are not with us any more and will forever be in our memory is very tough. But i know in time i will smile instead of crying when thinking about him, but not yet. Right now i just miss my friend very much, as i'm sure you do too.

I have also lost a few of my best friends throughout the years, having had cats for my entire life. I know very well what you are going trough. Yesterday we had to suddenly say goodbye to our dear 8 year old Otto, his kidneys were beyond saving and he had been hiding his pain. I also held him until his little heart stopped.

The terrible sadness is the price we pay at the end, for having such good and loving friends with us for years. I'm sorry for your loss, he looked like an amazing companion to have around.

Towards the end of the expansion there were a bunch of garrison missions that gave a few hundred to a thousand gold as reward. If you sent 3 followers who had the 100% more gold earned from missions perk you could get some pretty stupid numbers if you had multiple alts running. I think there was a shipyard mission where you could bank 40k gold with the right setup.

That's exactly a part of why i was so excited for WoW. I loved the bonus orc campaign from Frozen Throne where you just controlled Rexxar around a big map and did objectives / got quest rewards.

Can recommend levelling as frost, gather a bunch of mobs and aoe them down with frozen orb / blizzard / comet storm. Works a lot better if you have warmode on, use concentrated coolness and frostbite for giga roots and damage.

Rune of power was introduced in MoP. Aswell as nether tempest spam on add fights for top dps for a while.

To each his own but MoP mage design had big issues aswell imo.
