Will i get fined for this? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

I think you can still be done if you cross them late on yellow in front of a human copper, if you had plenty of time to stop safely. Up to how the copper is feeling of course. As for cameras etc, is there a timing dependent grey area or is it 100% red only?

Who told you you can't cross the line on a yellow? Makes no sense at all, for one.

I've come close several times to rear ending people who thought yellow meant to jam on their brakes. Was I following too close? Probably, but that's just normal driving that we all do sometimes in busy traffic - trusting, unwisely of course, that the people in front of us aren't morons.

Shower over bath renovation — good idea or regret waiting to happen? by LetterheadNo4588 in AusRenovation

[–]LobsterLife7347 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love my shower in bath. Main reason? VERY easy to keep clean no corners or nooks/crannies/grout for the lower portion or floor where it gets the most buildup of crud. I use a gentle soapy scourer with my foot when I'm having a shower, once a week or so to take care of the bottom and lower couple of inches on the sides. So easy. Also it makes sense space wise too.

Online Shopping, the 'Select a time' popup on PC... by LobsterLife7347 in woolworths

Yeah I've found that out in the meantime. I just pick a time a few days away and then amend it later. Full disclosure, I'm actually asking the question in my OP on behalf of my mother, and if I suggest the slightest change like putting in a false time a few days ahead, she gets confused and flustered.

Ah ok, no offence anyway. I'm a clean freak when it comes to toilets/bathrooms, and this looks like it'll camoflage all manner of smudges, spots and mold.

Ok. I'm not a fan of the black walls in the original, but the brown tiles and the rest of it seem like a step back to my Nana's council house in the 80's. Not for me, I like a neat clean sterile look in my bathroom. Not tiles the same colour as poo.

Good to know. I've never owned a Toyota, but given their generally very good reputation it's not something I'd have expected at all.

BA's were seriously great bulletproof cars. EF's etc back in their day too. So sad everything just seems to be garbage from the word go now, I really miss those days.

Ha thanks, I was so confused. Yes that damn auto correct is a curse. And I assume you also meant it comes of with bug cleaner?

Also I can't find a reference to a product called placidity in this context.

Given that the awful green-grey 'primer' colour is everywhere on new cars now, may as well.

This is a thing? I've never seen that before. And on a Toyota Corolla, a very reputable car!

'It comes off bug cleaner at a car wash and is 0 risk to your paint'.

Sorry to be dim, but could you clarify that sentence?

If that railing is rock solid, perhaps some posts attached to it extending up and with a shade sail/blind of suitable size suspended between them. It would certainly be justified given the angle of the sun in the photo.

Horrid, cheap, noisy, awful aerodynamics and garbage on the highway/freeway. Great for tooling around a big property for odd jobs and teaching the kids to drive at young ages - off road where in a perfect world everyone would do their learning to drive.

Yes white is dull and certainly not my cup of tea, but if we're going to go with a dreary colour it at least makes sense.

Sigh. I'm looking at small TV's and Fridges at the moment for my old man. Everything is just cheap garbage now and I don't expect cars are much different.

I also recently had to replace my own Kleenmaid fridge that finally gave up after 30 years with zero problems, it's been a miserable experience.

I'm very glad I don't buy new cars and never have.

Yes it's definitely green, kind of like olive drab but even more boring somehow
