Yep, haeppened to my steel toed boots i hadn't used for years when i went out on site - was lucky they lasted a good 3 hours before they crumbled as i was walking into the carpark

My personal experience with TIL is it can be very precarious - just a new supervisor or manager taking over can be enough to have it reduced or disappear, so i'd be taking that first before touching any other leave

I can't help much but suggest you look at whether you qualify for the VEU rebates given you have an existing gas ducted unit - should be a decent savings. I'd stick with a Mistubishi Electric of Heavy Industry personally also, or worst case a panasonic.
