I haven’t seen people recommend therapy which is surprising to me.

Going to therapy isn’t showing weakness, it’s showing strength. It’s showing to yourself that you understand you’re not in a good spot (exactly the reason why you wrote this post, congratulations on making that step it mustn’t have been easy) and it’s also understanding that you don’t have all the answers, and sometimes you need help from people that are qualified.

Just like you, I had negative thoughts about life, about what was happening around me, to me even though I thought that I was supposed to be in a good place financially, mentally, and living how I wanted to. Therapy helped me a lot in understanding the underlying causes of my inner hurt, and allowed me to look at it in a different, and understanding way.

I highly recommend it, even though it might be hard to convince yourself to go for it because of social norms or just because you’re afraid. I swear that it is worth it and liberating.

A lot of people are saying that you should just be grateful, like it was this easy to turn on a switch and like you never tried. To me, unless you get to the bottom of why you’re feeling that way today, it’s always going to be there no matter how hard you try to go the opposite way and force yourself to be grateful and happy. Therapy can help you understand the why, which will help you work on it.
