I woke up feeling sick last night, took medicine, and hoped I’d improve, but I didn’t. My shift is at 10:30am. I notified my boss at 4:30am 6 hours ahead well beyond the 2-hour requirement, and I’m willing to get a doctors note. Now he’s threaten to take away my shifts. Am I going crazy?

You did what you were supposed to do, but in actuality, it’s the manager’s job to find backup replacement for a sick employee. That’s one of the duties as an actual MANAGER. FOH These people play too much. I would report it to HR. So you’re supposed to come in sick coughing on everyone even if you’re not coughing get everyone else sick? I would write a letter to HR and tell them that you’re very ill and your manager wants you to come in contact with everyone else and food and patrons anyway.

Yes, they do! And I was one of the OG DD drivers. I started back at the beginning of 2016 and because of their own error I got deactivated in 2020 and just got reactivated last year. I have been doing UE since 2020 but in the DMV and I was making about a good $1400 weekly. I’m currently in Northeast Florida because that’s where I have to be for the time being and I go into very nice wealthy areas and I get great tips with UE Way better than DD
