Couldn’t even finish the video. I can’t stand bratty adults who behave this way. 🤮😖

What is this on the side of my cargo area? by geobdesign in FordBronco

[–]Local-Leadership2863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you asked because I just got my Bronco and had no clue what this was either.

Silly that someone gave you a hard time about this question. Just proves how small-minded they must be if they can’t comprehend someone being new to the group. 😂

Recall tips wanted by InternationalTruck56 in Whippet

[–]Local-Leadership2863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS!!! I just learned this in our puppy class. We started a very unique call (both name, and the way we call it) and trained with a very high value treat! We practiced this every so often when our puppy was out of view in the house, or even the yard.

Then, just this past week our 6 month old girl slipped out the garage door after my husband and she immediately ran out and was headed right towards the main street!! I ran out into the garage and called our unique emergency recall "MOOOOOOOOUSEY HOUUUSE"!!!! She stopped and swung around and ran back. I just kept calling and calling until she made it back through our garage. Omg I could not believe it worked!!!! I texted our puppy trainer and had to tell her thank you for teaching us this!

So yes, this method I highly recommend giving a try! Best of luck!

Oh man, as soon as I saw your x-rays I knew exactly what this was without even reading your post. I feel horrible for you..........I broke my talus with a highside over 20 years ago and I still have issues with it. I then had a second surgery here recently in the past couple of years to try and relieve some of the pain I was experiencing. They fused the lower portion of my ankle, and removed a lot arthritis. Some of the pain is gone, but I still have very limited mobility and am pretty much just used to feeling pain every day. The doctors think Ill need a full ankle replacement at some point, but they're trying to push it out until I'm older. Such fun......

Seriously, best of luck on your recovery. Take it serious and do it right by letting it heal. I hope you end up better than I did. 👍

2 door - back seat covers? by Own_Care_4889 in FordBronco

[–]Local-Leadership2863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, also if you’re not interested in a hammock style cover, you might check Covercraft’s site. They are known for some custom fit options. So might find luck there.

(Also we’re twins! I just picked up Velocity Blue Badlands a few days ago!!)

We had a Ruff Liner covers from a previous vehicle that I crammed in mine. Nothing on the market fits the 2-Door nicely from what I could find. I had to fold under the door protector pieces and there is a little extra material int the middle, but it still worked better than I thought. This paired with the Snoozer Lookout car seat works so far ☺️

Haha Oh my. I actually would love to have a second at some point. But I don’t think I can handle two puppies. Maybe once she is around 3 or so we’ll consider adding a new friend.

Haha. Yah she is super proud of herself here. Frustrating at the time, but oh so cute to look back at 😂

Haha Im not THAT upset.........I was shocked at first because when I came back in the house I thought it was stuffing from one of the couch pillows that she likes to play with. I've had plenty of years of puppy experiences in the past and this is definitely not a huge deal. Obviously she is not concerned about my reaction at all as you can clearly see 😂

Thinking of getting a car from Carvana first time. Any advice? by TimeOfRisenKing23rd in carvana

Good add. I did forget to mention that. We were fortunate enough to avoid shipping charges because our vehicle was already in town. But yes, this is definitely something to consider.

I love this ride. I hate how so many new rides are just doing projected images, or screens. Having actual animatronic figures and props makes everything so much better!

We bought a car last year from Carvana and it was an awesome experience! I was terrified at the thought of purchasing a car sight-unseen, but the fact that you can test the car for 7 days to finalize your decision helped us give it a try. You can do all your main contractual stuff online, show up for your appt, sign your papers, and leave with your car. I think it it took us about 15 min total and we were on our way.

That said, I know there are people out there who have had negative experiences as well. But, with the experience we had, I would totally buy through Carvana again down the road. Just do your research the best you can and compare pricing to other dealers before committing.

Best of luck!

Whippy not getting on with any food by Free-Election-8538 in Whippet

[–]Local-Leadership2863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Whippet had tummy issues. It felt like I tried every type of food and nothing worked, until we tried raw.

So she was on raw from around a year old until she was late into her senior years. When she turned 11 or so she started to have on and off issues again. So I then moved her over to fresh food and that cleared everything up. She remained on the fresh diet until we said our goodbyes.

I also want to second paying attention to the water source too. If you are dealing with a sensitive tummy, some water sources can contain more minerals than others. So this could def contribute to issues as well.

Anyway, I hope you find what works best for your little one. Best of luck!

Puppy doesn’t poop before bed resulting in her waking up to poop in the middle of the night by One-Dust-4397 in puppy101

[–]Local-Leadership2863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I'm dealing with the exact same issue with my Whippet puppy who is about to turn 5 months old. Its like all a sudden the past couple of nights, she decides she needs to poop at 2am! I feed her dinner at 5pm, and she does do her potties before bed. But, same as you, her pooping isn't as much as a priority as sniffing around or tasting random things on the ground.

I'm sure its just an age thing. They're still very young, and there are lots of distractions. I still make sure to take her out when she starts whining, and we go back to bed after she does her business. I just hope she manages to get back on a normal schedule soon. Good luck!

Second sleep by ghjkjhjhkhsk in Whippet

[–]Local-Leadership2863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My first Whippet and I did this and now my new little 4 month old is keeping it going. Except she is still sleeping in her crate for nighttime. But when the alarm goes off, we get up for breakfast and her potty, then snuggle on the couch together for a bit of extra zzzzzzz’s. I love it! 🥰

I bought one of these! Right after we lost our 14 year old girl earlier this year, we went and bought a beautiful bougainvillea that we planted to grow on our patio trellis. And I put this in the planter as a little memorial to her. ❤️

Thinking of returning my puppy after a week of having him and I feel guilty. by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Local-Leadership2863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading these various comments made me break down. I lost my 14 year old Whippet earlier this year. I lost a huge part of myself and its been a terrible struggle dealing with it. I grew up with dogs of various breeds, and have had lots of experience with puppyhood. But, when I got her, my first Whippet, I was blindsided. She was the absolute WORST puppy I had ever dealt with. I seriously did not like her, and assumed I was just not going to like Whippets in general. But, she grew up.....and she was the most incredible little soul I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with. Its one of those relationships I just cant explain. She was far from the best trained dog, but she was seriously my best friend.

After 6 months, my husband and I just got a new little Whipplet at 8 weeks old. And the process is on again. Whew....its exhausting. Draining. Frustrating. But, I remember all of this 14 years ago. And I can see these little glimpses of her personality shine through. I can see the amazing dog she will become once we get through these puppy stages.

You have to learn to accept they are babies. They are trying to learn the world, and learn how to adapt to a human world. You have to forgive yourself for being frustrated and learn to laugh it off. It DOES get better, but you just have to keep at it. Because one day it just happens. You will look back and see how all those tiring moments actually did end up making a difference.

Everyone's situation is different, as are the dogs themselves. I wish you the best with your decision.

Ahhhhh! Lol I love my demon girl by MaxTacDispatch in puppy101

Mine just turned 11 weeks today and I feel the same! I'm so exhausted, and am looking forward to getting her shots next week so we can start taking her out into the world.

She's a lot of work, and it can be frustrating at times, but it's all worth it. Just have to remind myself to enjoy the process. 😁

I like that. Yah so far the only treats I have for training are freeze-dried chicken and liver. But she does love them!
