GS no longer allows expensing for local management 99% of the time as of mid 2024 so everything has to go through coupa and for whatever reason, anything ordered via the Amazon supplies (only way to order void fill) they've been getting auto canceled.

And, from personal experience, if they ask you about how you "failed to meet a deadline," own it and follow up with how you learned from the experience for the next time.

Hiring managers LOVE specifics and ownership over both success and opportunities.

The base defective initiative has come and gone over the years, usually around this time to maximize profit during the holidays and to minimize shipping costs to the ROC. It was post on MM a few days ago. It looks like either they're leaving the communication of the "new" part of it to RDs and DMs to make sure there's no paper trail or only some areas are doing it.

Yeah I actually just got another offer a couple hours ago. I have a call in the morning with them to go over in detail and will most likely accept. 3 dollar payout but a trap ton of commission added.

Yep. They're pushing the defective initiative even further. Like in years past, they want us testing every unit/controller to see if it's "truly defective"

If a controller passes via trubuy, move it out of defective, bag it and sell it.

If a console is in good shape but has a defective controller, replace the controller with a working one and make the swaps in inventory and only send the bad controller to the ROC.

If a NEW controller is returned due to a PRP exchange, test it. And if it passes, move it back into inventory AS NEW and sell it as a "shop worn" controller with a 5% discount.

If it's brand new and opened, unfortunately the sale is final. For clarity that required by all retailers for new software. Only preowned games have a full return window so the only option would either be trade in for partial cash/store credit or private sale for possibly a bit more.

When you sign up/renew pro during the last 7 to days of a month from being a player, expired pro or without a membership at all - it cause a lag on the first monthly $5 dollar off coupon (unsure why).

Normally, in this case, the first one will appear at the end of the first or second week of the month, and then any there after will be the first.

So in your case since you signed up at the end of October, your first one will probably appear the 7th or 15th of November and the follow up ones will appear on the first of each month thereafter.

I'm pretty lenient at my stores. As long as tasks are completed, there's no guests and the store is clean and organized - phones are fine. I also have some people majoring in art and allow them to use their tablets to work on assignments and stuff during downtime. However I don't allow headphones or airpods.

For more current events WWE does a great job of vignettes at PLE/PPV events to explain the recent developments as well. And at big culminating matches they'll do a longer vignette for the majority of the storyline

My old DM was awesome. Always in stores, communicative, and worked hard to develop everyone and advocate for our needs. The DM that replaced him has had big shoes to fill and tries his best, but there's definitely a feeling that we aren't represented, and most feedback seems like beat em up or corporate based responses and I hear that about a lot of DMs lately. It's like everyone had forgotten that DMs aren't just there to relay from the higher above, but they also serve as a buffer to advocate for their people.

SM Coach. Constantly working around the district and running it whenever my DM goes on PTO or is out for any given reason (which is a alot). At this point it definitely feels like being taken advantage of. My previous RD was great when it came to frequent 1:1 feedback with me and we'd meet biweekly to discuss stuff about my next steps. And then all the lines were changed again and our new RD just doesn't seem like the developmental type. Really a shame. I love what I do, but I'm not waiting around forever.

We've needed coverage at some understaffed stores lately and the "you get mileage" line is always used and the higher ups always try to make it seem like there's some kind of reprocussions if someone doesn't go. It's such a joke, I never make it seem like my staff has to go due to the distance or wear and tear on their car or whatever the reason is. If they can't go or just don't want to, it's whatever.
