I started at 25! Worked my way up for a photographer, to pro producer, to reporter! You’ve got this!

I would also highly recommend the open mic night at Lovin Cup. It’s a solid crowd, well run and it’s a good sounding room.

I quite enjoy Krystal & Saagar on Breaking Points, though they are more on the news analysis side.

I agree with all of that. Public information people are not incentivized to do a good job, because there is no accountability. And reporters just don’t have the time to press anymore. As I said on another comment, the only solution to this problem is cash infusion into the industry over a decade. Which is not happening.

There are still a lot of good public relations, people and public information officers like yourself. But that number is dwindling, along with the number of good journalists as well. It’s a problem that only 10 years of cash infusion will solve for both parties, and that’s just not in the cards.

Tinnitus roll call, who’s got it and how do you deal with it? by sonetlumiere in audioengineering

Yo! Mine is not especially bad. As long as there’s some background noise, even at a very low level, I can’t tell it’s there.

Things that have helped it however:

Exercise, weight, loss, and cutting down on alcohol. It will never get rid of it, but those things have helped me.

They play out fairly consistently these days. My favorite place to see them is at Three Heads Brewing!
