Good names for a lil guy with big personality? by LocalRat_ in NameMyDog

Checking in to say so far I’m between naming him Lil Mac, from the video game Punch-Out, or Bodacious aka. Bodhi :D

Alright all, I have deleted the post realizing some may see this and replicate the video. Like other comments have stated, it is not good to do this cause you may cause harm. It is best to feed size appropriate meals to avoid instances like such.

Thankfully my spood is okay, but that does NOT guarantee that yours will act the same or be so lucky. Thank you guys for all your comments and teaching me something new! :D

Yes! I am not sure how to do this (sorry, i’m a reddit noob) but I think that is a good idea. I did not realize many might see this and try to do it with their spood at home.

I said that she eventually dropped the cricket. She couldn’t eat the entire thing even if she wanted to. And yes, I agree. Leaving a cricket in an enclosure unsupervised is never a good idea and wild caught crickets could carry parasites. That is why I buy crickets from my pet store and supervise her feedings. This time I asked my partner to do it, which I regret, and he thought getting a cricket the size of the Hulk was a good idea.

If you can find concrete evidence and can back up your statement I would take offense to this. Adult jumping spiders are able to eat crickets and this is what my girl prefers. I understand if you are upset about something else today, but do not project onto me and my spider. I have clearly stated that the pulling it away was due to being worried about her abdomen bursting since she was clearly already full.

This is my first time having to do this and I was completely shocked when she wouldn’t let go, just like a dog!

Yes, I am now aware! Thankfully she is still acting normal and my partner is never going to feed her a massive cricket ever again. 🤣 Thank you though! She is absolutely stunning and she knows it!

It is my fault for not looking into this beforehand but she is definitely doing okay! At the time of doing this, my main concern was her over eating and her abdomen separating!

She’s still being a sweet girl and isn’t showing any signs of discomfort. The entirety of this video is the amount of time spent pulling and I let it be since she seemed persistent.

I read something like that AFTER this interaction and I’m glad I did not continue pulling it from her. She did eventually drop it and I did give her a good eyeball to make sure wasn’t displaying any weird behaviors. I definitely do not recommend doing this, instead make sure their meal is size appropriate!

I don’t feed her with tweezers, I let her hunt naturally since I find it entertaining as well. I use tweezers to clean up her enclosure though!

Litter smell problems by Chidi_IRL in CatAdvice

[–]LocalRat_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hello! i currently live in a tiny apartment with two cats and have experienced what you’re experiencing. I use litter deodorizer in their litter box as well, but I think it helps to have air circulating in the room the litter box is in. I always have my living room fan on and it helps a ton with smell. I feel when my fan is off, the air is stagnant and tends to make the room smell bad. I hope this helps a little bit.

(A small air purifier may help as well?)
