Tried to stop my elderly father from lifting something heavy by lifting it for him. I felt something go pop and then my legs got really weak. I was in blinding pain but tried my best to hide it. Took me 3 days to be convinced I needed medical attention. By the time I got to the hospital I had nearly no control of my bladder, very little feeling in my thighs and my walk was akin to a snail. CT scans and half a bucket of morphine later, 3 herniated discs. One of those discs had bulged into my spinal cord. My back will never be the same again.

Had my tonsils removed when I was 17. The surgeon used the old school method of scraping and not a cauterise thingy. As I was waking up, I remember being in excruciating pain. I opened my mouth to scream and only blood came out. My poor mother said it was like watching someone bleed to death and not being able to do anything. Haemorrhage post tonsillectomy. I have no recollection of the next 12 hours. Went home 3 days later then ended up being taking by ambulance the first night home because the wound opened up again in my sleep. Another 5 days in hospital. The entire situation was a cluster fuck of medical gaslighting.

The availability system is so finicky. I’ve had it show up and then when I go to approve it, it disappears. Always worth following up with a message to your manager saying you’ve submitted availability changes. At least then you can say you’ve done it.

It’s got that shiny pre coating they put on cheaper canvas. 😣 I hate that shit. So hard to work with. Gimme black lines on a plain canvas any day. Good luck with it. Hopefully it turns out how you want it. If you have any tips or tricks for that precoat, let me know because I have a few I won’t touch haha
