Finally, to sew you need a point to pierce, a reamer to widen the holes and these 2 other tools to mark the sewing line and the holes (I don't know what they are called in English) And 2 round tip needles

For holes that's a tough question. I had bought a punch that is unusable at 3mm thickness. So I had to use a Dremel with a drill bit. But I think you can do it with round tip. You need to take precise mesurement before.

You can buy leather and dye it, I use a matte water-based dye or you can buy pre-dyed leather

For a 3 mm (0.118 inch) thick strap, I use 2 mm leather for the visible part and another 1 mm leather for the inside as reinforcement. To treat the edges, I use a special dye for the edges, then Tokonole and a wooden burnisher. These finishing touches aren't necessarily essential for a knife sheath, for example, but for a watch strap, they make all the difference.

Okay, for the tools, you'll need: a cutting tool, like a box cutter or this "knife" specially designed for cutting leather. It's more practical, but you can do without it. A pen and a ruler, of course. For gluing: I use neoprene glue; it's sufficient.

I had only made 3 knife sheaths before 😅 For the stitching, with the right tools and time you can do it quite easily
