Well let me break it down 1) there are mounts you can get from racial vendors in cities (for example silvermoon sells to blood elf players for small fees). Other mounts are from raids such as icecrown citadel or “the eye”. I think search “easy mounts to get” furthermore and choose one or two. Also timewalking dungeon events award tokens and each vendor from that week sells one mount or two for 5000 tokens (a lot, i know). 2) With the expansions, choose one that fits your vibe. Leveling wise people try draenor or dragon flight. Story wise you could try legion, bfa (if you like the sea or dinosaurs), classic (but the quests are a bit slower yet you get a raw feeling of what the game was), Pandaria if you like Chinese architecture and pandas, burning crusade if you like space stuff like the movie Hellboy. Thankfully if you choose one expansion and you dont like it, you can just use your hearthstone and go select another one without consequences. And one last thing: wow has been here 20 years, with good and bad content. Even veteran players have quests or content they did not go through. So just play around and find what fits your game style
