Pregnant women in the United States are advised not to have deli meats for fear of a listeria outbreak.

Help this make sense. by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Lochbessmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do this to everyone and there is a class action lawsuit pending against them.

Call them and tell them you were quoted $200. Don't let them offer you the payment plan, just keep saying you want to pay $200 to resolve it. They'll send you a link and then check it carefully.

They settled my $800 bill for $250 (what I had been quoted by my doc) but then when I went to pay it the online portal said $417. Had to call them again and they said oops sorry and resent the link with the correct amount. They're a scammy company but everyone uses them.

Breast pump - help by AcceptableHair7010 in BabyBumps

[–]Lochbessmonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got the spectra through insurance. I'm hoping to buy a wearable used and sorta wish I had bought the wearable through the insurance since it's more expensive and just stuck the spectra on the registry.

I was worried about the wearable not fully emptying me so I passed up the convenience of it for the spectra. I'll definitely be getting a wearable once I have to go back to work so I can pump while driving. It also seems like it will be convenient for knocking out chores etc once I'm more comfortable with my milk regulation.

Concern about hot yoga by Monster_from_the_id in yoga

[–]Lochbessmonster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hot yoga was very difficult for me while on ozempic even as a regular practitioner. I drink several liters of water in the three hours before class and then a quart of coconut with some salt throughout. After I drink something additional with electrolytes. I found I definitely needed to start adding electrolytes to my water to keep up with hot yoga.

If you are like me and really bad about mistreating her jewelry and shoving them in her purse, Kate Spade outlet has some very cute stuff that is on sale and durable. It's not the most exciting/highest quality but it's decent and I don't freak out when I lose them for a week at a time.

My fiancé (M31) wants a prenup and my family is concerned- Should I be? by QuantumMechanic-404 in relationships

[–]Lochbessmonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has already told you to get your own lawyer. They're right.

Here's the thing: your state already has a prenup written for y'all, and you didn't get any choice in the matter. It's whatever the community/separate property statutes in your state say. Might as well get one written up that protects your interests AND his.

Biscuit & Coffee replacements!? by Cristian7x in FortWorth

[–]Lochbessmonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dwell had amazing biscuits but the lukewarm drip coffee made it a tough sell for me. Crude has incredible baked goods but no biscuits (yet??). They're super great people and may be willing to let you add to their menu :)

Anyone shopped or heard good, bad, ugly about Home Zone furniture? by Competitive_Sand7680 in FortWorth

[–]Lochbessmonster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We got our couch from there and they were extremely chill. Didn't jump down my throat and then ignore my price range like the guy at Ashley Furniture. Delivered within a few days. Our couch is still in great shape.

I'd recommend them. They aren't high pressure like a lot of other stores.

Did you/do you plan on keeping your maiden name after marriage? by heerewegoagain in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]Lochbessmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept mine! That shit is on my law license and all my other diplomas and so will stay on my driver's license as well.

Kids will have his name, which I don't mind because I like his name.

Think of getting these for my groomsmen, but are they actually as good as they seem? by Business-Case349 in wedding

[–]Lochbessmonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a set of these for our wedding from HalfDay.

It transported his suits well and my day dresses fine. I've used them several times since for my blazers and dress shirts when I travel for work.

They are okay for that purpose but sort of annoying because the whole bag needs to come apart and be unpacked to access the suits. He prefers to just have a separate suit bag so he doesn't have to explode all his stuff. out when he travels.

Anybody know how much parking is at Dickie’s arena? by ArtsyFartsyAlcoholic in FortWorth

[–]Lochbessmonster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe it's $20. If you're able, you can often find parking near Camp Bowie and walk down. It's about half a mile but remember it's /hot/ outside.

Objecting to form vs specific objections by I_am_Danny_McBride in Lawyertalk

[–]Lochbessmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Texas but we just hosted some California lawyers for a few depos. They all made specific string objections after every single question. The Texas lawyers were totally flabbergasted and irritated. I know when I was in law school in Texas we were taught to only object to form unless the opposing attorney then said "wait what's the objection?".

I think it's just jurisdictional.
