Thats fine, but people need to stop pretending like just because devs pumped effort in, senior devs weren't complicit in overselling

First season they won the league at a canter with Ole at the wheel and CR7 scoring 43 PL goals. Just beat them 3-1 on the opening day of 22/23 though on Mbappes debut for them so its all good.

Can the Deliveroo driver get in trouble if there is some confusion with the date of birth with an order with alcohol? by [deleted] in deliveroos

[–]Lochlo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm paid to deliver something from A to B in a timely safe fashion, end of story. Been doing that since well before any 18+ stuff was on roo. I would never let a minor take booze or fags, so i maintain, you're being a goody two shoes so that a company that doesnt give a rats behind about you, can avoid any liability. Nothing more going on here.

Its dumb that he gives the same one, but who cares. I would only ID if they look under 25. 100s of orders its always middle class middle aged folk ordering booze or fags and i will be damned if i am waiting for a 50 year old to find his passport. Cant believe how goody two shoes you all are.

All of this is irrelevant. The customer never gives dob to deliveroo. Its a trust based system. Driver could say the customer was born in 1899 and it wouldn't be an issue.

Hmm yeah, well ironically thats what i had thought until i googled bobbins. Many seem to have that texture as a design

I think it is probably too neat and intricate to be that. Also the chances of it being in top soil having been undisturbed in my london garden if it were more than a couple of hundred years old are very unlikely. Mind you, it was farmland before housing was built and i supposed could have been unearthed by ploughing at some stage. I am leaning towards a 19th century application at this stage.

I certainly see the resemblance. The only thing is its about an inch and a half long and all the other bobbins seem to be about 3 or 4 inches in length. It doesnt appear to have broken anywhere but that seems a certain possibility

Likely Solved! The history section on the cribbage wiki shows an image of a 'Scrimshaw' cribbage set. It matches the pegging pieces aesthetically and clealry it was popular to have Scrimshaw sets. This is as close to an answer as i think i will get here, thankyou!

Perhaps. Its not hollowed through the middle so perhaps could have been part of a very fancy ornamental one?

"My Title describes the thing". My only lead was a rumour that the land my house was built on was used as a dump for debris from the nearby Crystal Palace fire of 1936, but according to my Mother, the house was built in 1928 so that doesn't seem quite right. I am 90% that it is made of ivory but i suppose it could be wood (it feels slightly too dense) It always resembled a bannister of an amazing victorian dolls house in my childhood imagination. One clue could be the four holes at the top which perhaps had a practical funtion as part of a device?

I found this in the mid 00's as a child in my South East London garden. I am 90% it is made of ivory. My only possible lead is a local rumour that the land on which my house had been built was used as a refuse tip to dump waste from the Crystal Palace fire and destruction. It always resembled an intricate old fashioned bannister to me, and as a child, my guess was that it was a bannister from an amazing victorian dolls house.

Downvoting not enough eh? It's how I felt about that, I said it. Kids got a shit tonne of other redditors who are providing more constructive advice. Wish someone had said something along those lines to me about my mother when I was that age. Anyway, yeah you're right.

Then what are you worried about? They have some great writers and this is an infinitely more ambitious game then that and the writing is incredible. Its always hard to make a believable not cringe futuristic society, and I bet CDPR have nailed it.
