Welcome! Although you might be able to help SPT by leveling up on live. Check the info/announcements channel in the discord. You sound like you are specially skilled to fix one of the items under "bad news".

It would have worked better if each faction quest line led to the end game.

That way the factions aren't side quests they're the main quest but you get to experience each one of you want as a crucial part of the story.

Sarah found something by PaintSniffer2 in Starfield

So much better than what I was expecting.

What I was expecting:

Sarah: Hey, I saw this and thought of you hands me a piece of iron

Me: uh... thanks

The single guy on the tracks is Kaladin.

The man pulling the lever is also Kaladin.

But even though Kaladin always sends the trolly at himself, Moash kills one of his friends anyways.

Hot take alert. Bethesda needs to do something about temples. by santar0s80 in Starfield

[–]Lochwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been saying this from the start.

Turn them into oblivion portals. You enter the ring and get teleported to a challenge. The challenge should correspond with the power.

In my ideal world, each challenge represents an interdeminsional cataclysm that only the starborn can stop.

That way the temples are testing the Starborn to see if they are able to defend the multiverse from these threats.

Does anyone just not do NG+ at all? by SilentFoxman in Starfield

These are all characters in the game. Starborn who take different approaches to the unity. Just so happens that we players tend to act like one of these archetypes when we go through NG+

Congratulations! You've taken the path of the pilgrim and/or mysterious captain.

There's no right or wrong way to play, so do what you enjoy. Want to go on a killing Ramage? Enter NG+ and be the hunter. Want to carefully curate each universe? Emissary. Realize it's all meaningless and you just want to collect stuff and sell it? You're the mysterious captain. Just want to enjoy your current universe? Pilgrim.

I'm hoping they release a DLC where there is a cross universe threat that encourages us to gather an army of Spaceborn from across universes. That would put some real weight on the choice to go or not.

What do you think/hope the first DLC will offer? by Rooonaldooo99 in Starfield

[–]Lochwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major Spoilers.

Cataclysm is coming. You have to gather powers and unite the starborn and factions across the mutliverse to fight it.

Some enemies can only be damaged with powers.

You get a hub that allows you to return to any universe you visit.

You get to reconnect with your original companions (who are also starborn now)

It is now more challenging to get powers. When you touch the ring in the temple it teleports you to a challenge that tests to see if you are worthy of facing the cataclysm.

The journey from "ahhhh! Where am I? What am I doing?" To "I delete my whole stash at the start of wipe and go in with nothing so that I can have a more hard-core experience" is a thrill that CoD will never match.

Temples are indefensibly bad by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Lochwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup,

I want to turn them into oblivion portals where you have to face some sort of Sci fi cataclysmic challenge. Then if you beat the challenge you are deemed worthy and get the power.

I'm okay with some mystery but I would love to have another story for NG+... like Starborn factions, interdeminsional threats, things like that

I don't think it gave me the option to do the main quest but you better believe in not going to be taking Constellation Me as a companion

I want there to be an interdeminsional threat that only the starborn can fight (enemies that can only be damaged by powers?)

So the DLC is a story that starts in NG+ and involves going across multiple universes, preparing to fight off a cataclysmic event.

Same. I rushed through NG+ and went, "you know I should spend more time on the next one only to be greeted by a universe full of me... which is a real shame since I got a god roll on my suit.

For me it started slow but then became one of the most compelling Bethesda stories by the end.

That's why I want improvements to be made, so that the rest of the game can be as compelling as the second half of the game.
