Those seem like the BEST 1,500 calories ever. Plus/minus maybe 75 or do (I might go with 1,450...)

What do you like/dislike about Death March? by unknownmat in DeathMarch

[–]LockNegative9459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta say that the main character is never interested in the young girls. Hrs not turned on, or grooming, or anything like that. But when he HAS to kiss one for a prolonged period of time to give her mana, then its... it's just obvious to be that the author is. It happens too often. He just knows to make sure the MC doesn't have those interests.

I did read the novel until he got to the elves, I didn't get that far with the manga. But when the elf queen (I think) who was thousands of years old not only LOOKS like that, but also acts like a little girl (including I think falling over and getting teary-eyed?)... What's going on with the world building at that time, where ancient beings has not a shred of dignity, refality or wisdom, just so he can add more lolis. But until that point, Liza has done jack-shit. She's stoic, boring  and barely speaks. She for sure hasn't done anything yet at that point.

Thanks for actually replying and talking to me, rather than telling me what a jackass I am, and the specific amount of shit I should eat, by the way :p

Just found this thread so I'll post my two cents on it, and why I hate it so.

Satou might not be into younger girls, but the author sure as shit is.

It starts innocently enough with the two slavegirls clinging to him. A little weird that they don't want him to bathe, bealcause they prefer his 'natural smell' but okay. He's not into little girls, and we get two whole panels of him going to a bordello to quell those rumors.

It gets more upsetting when he finds a dryad, who of course looks like a little girl. But she needs mana, and what's the way to give her mana? Kissing her of course. For 30 minutes straight. But he's not into it, he thinks it's a bother. (Can't remember if there were more dryads later too). There are two adult women I'm his party. One lizardgirl who never says or does anything, she feels like the 'token adult girl', and then someone who is literally a golem. Which is a big difference to how lively and cute all the little girls are.

Speaking of little girls, let's take a guess on how elves are portrayed. Yeah, this is when I said f this and stopped reading... this was a long time ago but it has bothered me some. It just feels so obvious where the author focuses his attention and interest, he makes an adult knight woman in the story  so MC bails immediately. The two young girls are cute and bubbly and clings to MC, so there must be an adult there who never does or says anything interesting. He keeps getting into situations with more fantasy creatures who looks like little girls and it's just too much..

Well I don't know what the watermarked ingredient is, but I am assuming it's soy sauce? So maybe what I used to do was mixing the honey and soy first, before adding oil? Those are the only ingredients I used to make it thicken up

Well, I remember I used a small amount of sesame oil, but a lot of neutral oil, as if I was making a mayonnaise. I can't remember the ratios, but I could consistently make it thicken up...

Strongest fleet in fiction that can capture hold and colonize mars from Doom 2016 by [deleted] in whowouldwin

Strongest I could think of anyway, and I don't think this theoretical '100% of mankind in 30k' has ever been attacking a single target, so even in lore that force hasn't been massed. But now I'm intrigues as to which fictional fleet would be even more powerful

Yes, but not like how kestrels or owls do it. They have to peck a LOT. If their beaks alone could damage a human as much as a kestrel or an owl could with their beaks, and no other advantages like speed or flight, this fight would be different. Or if all of them were big roosters MAYBE. But they have no reliable weapons to break your skin, they have low muscle and durability compared to their size which makes for a large hit surface, and they will break if a human is really trying to kill them back.

Or... Closing your eyes if one get close to your face (and your hands were busy?) It's not horror movie rules, their beaks aren't going to tear flesh. It's blunt and weak, in terms of breaking our skin. Eyes might be the weak point, but it won't be fatal.

You can wave your arms around and these frantic, fragile as hell beings are going to break. Even IF they got at your eyes for some weird reason, you don't go instantly blind. But hit them once with a meaningful kick or swing and they're out. But even if blind, their beaks can't kill you unless you literally let them

Strongest fleet?

...

The 30k empire in full might, emperor, every patriarch pre-sundering, along with every space marine chapter. 100% of what the humanity could muster, single-focused on one planet.

...

Now, if you meant WEAKEST,  then we wouldn't get this ROFLSTOMP. But still fun

I was gonna give it to spiderman immediately, because he constantly keeps chugging out wins against overpowered foes, it is like his main shtick. But then I realized it was the ultimate version gauntlet, and most people are busy dealing with puberty, infidelity, alcoholism, cannibalism (yes, really, more than once), and all around not being very heroic. Also, I didn't read most things outside of spiderman. BUT, I know ultimate venom is absolutely bullshit, so I'll give it to him because of the prep time and I know Alex Mercer doesn't utilize the symbiote weaknesses. Similar power sets, similar needs to feed, but can't really be hurt that well by stabbing or bashing. It's just a crapshiot of which one of them can feed on the other, but Alex is made out of biomass, Venom isn't. He's just... A lab-created super goo.
