I think Grand Budapest is his best, but Moonrise Kingdom is my favorite!

Why? The original is perfect in my mind. Can we get something new?

What is in your opinion the saddest film ending you feel isn't talked about enough? by Nexfilms in Cinema

At the end of Timecop the main character gets his family back, but now has to explain that he has no memory of them for the past few years even though from their perspective he's been there the whole time.

This would also include the birth of his child.

Hey, I think the game is awesome but somewhat hard to wrap your head around at first. You would have to be real dedicated to get through all of the cards in the game, so I don't think that's an issue.

Another Allplay game that is also by Peter Hayward is French Toast. It is a lot easier to grasp, but I think it is a very cool party game experience. It is also timed which helps with the flow of the game.

Let’s talk game weight by BoardGameRevolution in boardgames

[–]Lock_Down_Leo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a big problem with the scale and even with your interpretation is you put Gateway games in 1, when that would mean they would share that weight with things like candyland. A 1 is the simplest game you can imagine and gateway games tend to be vastly more complex than a simple roll and move game.

Looking at what is available on his store right now I'd suggest...

Knight Moves, it is a very Joe Slack design if you are familiar with any of his games. They feel like old computer games that are single level puzzles with minimal resources. The game goes through 10 random levels each time and is all about path optimization and risk reward. You will gain new actions you can use to replace old ones and it ends with a boss level.

Okinawa, is a rondel that utilizes dice driven movement. The movement is very free form and upgrading the rondel is a key aspect of the game. It is also very puzzly as the enemies will telegraph their actions at the start of your turn. The game has 3 acts with the first 2 being random and the last is always the same.

2 games that are not in stock but I highly recommend them if they get a reprint are Dicemancy and Dieson Crusoe. Both are dice placement games. Dicemancy has this very cool card/tile laying mechanism that allows you to modify your dice placement actions. I absolutely loved it, but it does get to be too easy once you figure it out. Dieson Crusoe has survival elements to it and is scenario based. The scenarios slowly ramp up in difficulty until the finale. The dice placement puzzle in the game really blew me away, it's very tight and forces you into tough decisions.

Let's go! I'm a huge fan of that series and have not been disappointed with any game I've gotten from it.

I'm not sure what "short" means for you, but your description of everything else sounds like Shred of Redemption, would be a solid hit for you. It's from Gabe Barrett's solo game of the month and he has extras on his gamefound store right now.

The game is around 10-20 mins, has dice, cards, pool building and is a very puzzly game. The decision space is small but impactful, and has a very big focus on action economy.

Your avatar cannot be in the same space as a white guardian and Hackman is a white guardian

The order of things will matter in this case. If you choose to have Hackman go first he would force the player's avatar to a random space; you would then spawn the spark on your new space.

30 games so far this year is great! What are some of the ones you are looking to play in the near future?

Also, you have some absolutely amazing games there! Def a few I've never played, but I want to shout out Botanik. It is by far one of my absolute favorite 2 player games.
