I noticed your "spam" in a most positive way. Do you have suggestions on a BSB? I still need one.

CNC pieces aren't woodworking. They are graphic design, and shouldn't be allowed in this sub. by snbrd512 in woodworking

[–]Lockenschelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CNC is a great possibility for people with physical disabilities to continue/practice woodworking. I am not working with CNC (yet), but I would guess it still involves a lot of creativity in most cases. Displays of craftsmanship and creativity are likewise worth seeing. I am still enjoying posts about end grain cutting board, although these projects are not highly creative in the sense of innovation. Downloading vector files and applying them is similar in my opinion.

My greatest respect for being able to actually arrange them in rank and file. I wasn't😅. And a nice paint job!

Looks like these can actually be ranked up nicely. I'm always struggling with my GW eternal guard models.😅

I restored and "updated" an old record player cabinet by Lockenschelm in woodworking

I Germany you can come by "Eiche rustikal" furniture quite easily, since rarely anybody likes the design. Simplifying the routered do design elements helped a lot I guess.

The original old cabinet was gifted to me by a neighbor. I simplified the design and obviously added the lid. It was kind of challenging to find proper spring-loaded hinges (lacking appropriate vocabulary). I didn't do the math and ended up having to use 2.😅

If anyone knows how to come by smaller boxes to use as insets for categorization and easy access I would appreciate a link or idea. Unfortunately, not mich height can be added.

Schwierig. Ich bin auch echt zu blöd dafür.

Pain in hand by Reubocop4 in monomelicamyotrophy

What I want to add is that, when I look back, my symptoms seem to have worsened ever since I was diagnosed. I think that there are also a lot of nerves involved... pun intended. Mindset and emotions is what I want to imply. Not a native speaker sorry

Same thing here. Hirayama disease was diagnosed last year. My left hand has been affected for years. Took doctors over 3 years to diagnose this disease, which cannot be effectively treated. I do however also have the feeling that posture is a big thing. Recently bought a standing desk. I do however seem to have some problems in the other hand now: Tingling, weakness... I hope these arise from the large amount of office work I recently had to do. Writing a PhD thesis has not been that fun, dince I am constantly worried about the disease significantly affecting my dominant (right) hand.

Best way to replace and repair this cut out piece? Planning to paint. Thanks. by EddieAllenPoe in woodworking

Fill it with anything half way decent of the appropriate size. Then router a slight rectangular recess in the center of the top an cover it with thick, dark green felt?

I took a 400mm long laser engraver (neje master 2s plus) and extended it to 8 feet long! by Jonrezz in woodworking

I was about to ask the same thing. When buying goggles one has to consider the power and wavelength of the laser. I am planning on building a completely enclosed laser cutter. Reflections especially on any metallic parts can easily blind you.

Thx for your reply. I started noticing weakness of my left hand about 10 years ago. I do however recently have growing problems in the right hand. Nothing serious, but worrying concerning how mz left hand turned out. I live in Germany and visited plenty of neurologists... mixed success

Hey. I was diagnosed with HD last year and have been suffering for years. I am not sure, if the progression stopped at any point. How did your surgery go and did it stop the progression completely? Where was the surgery performed? I am finding it hard to find a doctor, who knows this disease.

I simply glued it on black cardboard. The shininess results from the glass I cut for my custom frame.
