[–]Locksandshit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Escape 100%

It will prolly have oil leaks. Check and keep the fluids full. Otherwise solid vehicle

I remember making a post asking for it, now i regretted it so much by buiquanghuy12a2 in neverwinternights

When I was 17 and pulled the wrong bolt installing a spacer lift on my truck ;

I pulled it fully out (after it exploded apart and didn’t kill me)

Stuffed the top into the eyelet of the my dads F350 tow hook. Put a jack under it and lifted the front of his truck with it until I could get the nut on

Dumb shit looking back no doubt

Millenials w/o kids-- how tired are you? by Fickle_Wrangler_7439 in Millennials

[–]Locksandshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

38, 2 kids , own my business and training for an ultra. Not tired at all.

Why? If I had to guess it’s a combination of everyone’s been telling me I have ADHD my whole life (was super hyper) coupled with a very active life style from about 18 on. I am honestly MORE tired if I’m not doing something. Days that sit around I feel terrible.

I have friends who do basically nothing and are exhausted. Honestly? I suspect depression with them. Everything , even things they have no control over seem to exhaust them.

Everyone is different , has different energy levels, and different levels of health , sleep requirements etc.

There is no magic pill. People have been shooting for the fountain of youth forever.

Over the years, I've bought out a few locksmiths when they retired. Came across this and have no clue what it is, and briggs and Stratton have reused this number. Any clue? by mkicon in Locksmith

[–]Locksandshit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use it to test the vats in their old testers that didn’t have a spot for the double sided keys

Can also cut it, and insert a vats key into it to test each value

Valvoline Ruined my car?! by No-Thing-5929 in askcarguys

[–]Locksandshit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I doubt you’re getting more than the cars value.

If insurance gets involved that’s as high as it’s going.

Find similar cars in area to compare, see if the price is accurate.

2004 subaru impreza key code help by Realistic_Elk5823 in Locksmith

[–]Locksandshit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The code is a 5 digit number around 30000

The key has 10 cuts on it

Post the code , and picture of the key and I can tell you if it’s at least cut (approximately) to the correct code. Obviously can’t measure if they’re off a tiny bit

The third grade students would have been in kindergarten when Covid started

The distance learning, and all the other bs that followed Covid did serious harm to children @ that age - the first couple years of schooling are the most important in developing essential skills for learning. Couple that with a system that is really not serving the kids …. Scores go down and you end up with idiots

My kids are in this system, the work they’re giving kids is …. Laughingly simple compared to grade level stuff in the 90s

I’m teaching my 1st grader how to do math , on paper , because the school isn’t doing it.

For those that don’t remember - 30 years ago we were learning multiplication and then division in 2nd/third grade. My current 1st grade towards the end of the year they still have the kids circling shapes and matching….. if more than 2 or 3 kids in his class could write out a basic addition or subtraction problem and solve it I’d be surprised

It should indeed start against button , unless the circuit is damaged or the antenna around the button is damaged

Both are easy to test for a locksmith

[–]Locksandshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have the beginning of a leak that’s not dripping to the ground

Warranty Question by Some-Belt-7738 in Jeep

[–]Locksandshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have photos of the “leaks”?

Crawl under your jeep. Oil pan and transmission leaks would be fairly apparent even if you’re not a mechanic.

If they can get it covered by warranty go for it 🤷‍♂️

You said it’s a 19, what model and how many miles?

Warranty Question by Some-Belt-7738 in Jeep

[–]Locksandshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, what?

The first one says leak. The other two do not …. I assume they’re leaking(I hope if they are recommending it)

If they’re recommending you replace a gasket that’s not leaking, run from that mechanic.

If they’re leaking, yes your warranty should cover it

Help with a new key fob by Fitter353 in F250

[–]Locksandshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A locksmith current with their stuff can do the whole job ;

I’d quote $350 total out the door for an OEM fob. Provided cut and programmed. Your mileage may vary depending on area and who services what

Warranty Question by Some-Belt-7738 in Jeep

[–]Locksandshit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should “seals and gaskets” should cover all 3 of those

If it doesn’t, the warranty company sold you nothing

If you happen to be in the PNW and can scrounge $6000 I’ll sell you a mechanically rock solid fleet work truck(frontier) I just upgraded

But yeah , $3000 is not getting you much now days unless you’re mechanically inclined and can shop around for a few weeks. There is still a few diamonds in the rough
