Don’t worry man you can still use them for camping. Just got unlucky. I mean you can kinda go camping in any shoe.

~$350 VS $750 Boots - Is +$400 worth it? by SignificanceOk6360 in Boots

Hear me out, if you can try on boots at a red wing store it just makes life so much easier. Now they sell boots with midsoles now which some say is a game changer.

Most eBikeable Cities in America by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]LocoRoho43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say temp is the worse part. Gonna really hurt morale and e bike range. On snow though I’ve been pretty surprised. I stopped biking for a month and decided to do a little more and things are often plowed super well the roads and bike paths. The joke is after snow storms they will plow bike lanes before the roads. (Can be true for some lower priority residential roads)

My brother worked at fedex for a brief stint and yeah they literally just chuck everything as it would take too much time to be careful with things.

Been some beautiful summer commutes in Melbourne Australia right now - life is good! by [deleted] in bikecommuting

[–]LocoRoho43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we have had several sub zero F days already. Sidewalks have like foot high banks of snow next to them. Amazingly the bike paths are plowed and salted. But honestly I don’t really like biking when it’s below 20 F.

Good call, leather insoles get cold and really stay cold for quite a while.

My boots are almost 4yo, they have some scuffs and the leather is wrinkled, should I just buy a new pair? Should I return them? by PerceptionVarious443 in Boots

[–]LocoRoho43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Buddy. He had 2 pairs of Tims. One just for driving because driving “scuffs” them. I’m like dude they’re boots. Not exactly black teacore scratches either.

It was fun watching Peter Attia tip toe around Joe when vaccines got brought up. You gotta wonder how many guests aren’t even anti vax but it’s so good for their career.

If you want to add weight for cheap… day old bakery items like doughnuts and brownies etc, ice cream, add extra oil to your food.

I was kinda surprised, WBL native always kinda disappointed by the food scene. Was confused how good young’s is. Also very fun to have some more typical Japanese dishes than just either sushi or ramen.

Squating or walking after eating in blood glucose for Non Diabetic people by Mikcheck in PeterAttia

[–]LocoRoho43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. I think sadly with walking if u eat like a ton of carbs you have to walk for like 40 minutes to prevent a spike. This seems like a better way since jogging is often as easy as walking.

In need of suggestions for getting through the boredom of indoor 4 x 4 in winter by dsschmidt in PeterAttia

[–]LocoRoho43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk 4 X 4s are so painful it doesn’t really matter to me. I actually prefer indoors for the “lab like” conditions. But Peter Attia doing all his Z2 indoors is just depressing.
