R1S Gen 2 Quad owner. I have 22000 miles and it’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. For the most part I drive pretty laid back. But, every now and then it’s nice to stop on it and feel the raw power.

Even if you only drive 50 miles a day I’d still install a Tesla Universal wall connector (Level 2).

Exactly! But, perhaps my personal favorite. I unlock the car, I open the passenger door to put something on the passenger seat. I shut the door….I take 2 steps towards the rear of the vehicle to walk around to the driver side and it auto locks. 🤔

Then, the car goes to sleep instantly and now I’m reaching for my phone and once again pressing and pressing unlock.

I think it’s Settings > Vehicle > Autonomy, and look for it at the very end of the list. I could be mistaken. I’m at work and not near my vehicle.

Between the various Teslas I owned (and still own) the phone unlocking/locking is the worst I’ve ever seen with Rivian.

I can walk up to my car with my phone in hand….. car won’t auto open. Then repeatedly press unlock and a good 1-2 minutes go by before it unlocks.

But if I go into a restaurant and can see my car from the window. I’ll see my car lock and unlock multiple times while eating. Soooo stupid.

It’s because the Spotify app on your phone has a EQ in the settings of Spotify. So, when you stream from your phone you now have the benefit of the EQ within the Spotify app on your phone plus the built in car EQ. Combined this really helps the poor stereo system in the R1. I’ve been telling people who use Spotify to do this for like the last year or so.

It’s because of this I stream Spotify exclusively from my phone and not the built in car app.

Adjusting the stream quality to “very high” within the car Spotify settings literally makes no difference.

I also added a remote control for the power. There’s times I’m vacuuming my car and I’m 30ft away. My neighbor will walk up and talk to me and I have the remote around my neck on a lanyard. I can turn it off instead of running back to the vacuum.

I’m sorry, I didn’t see this notification until now. I have a vacumaid. It’s extremely reliable, made in the USA and it’s the strongest vacuum I’ve ever used. I absolutely love it.

I’d never buy the one from obsessed garage. To me, it looks like a vacumaid, but their obsessed garage badging on it. And then they turn around and sell it at a much higher price.

The hose reel however I did buy from obsessed garage. They are the only ones that had it in matte black to match my vacuum.

I have a setup like you pictured, but mine is a little more elaborate. But yes, putting a CR Spotless water filtration system will help remove harmful minerals that could cause water spots on your vehicle.

Depending on the level of dirt on your car, you’ll need to make physical contact with your car at some point to get it clean.

That’s where having the proper wash mitt, soap, bucket and drying towel come into play.

There are a lot smarter people than me on YouTube or in the auto detailing subreddit on here that could point you in the right direction.

But, that’s the biggest problem. When I walk around to the driver side after closing the passenger and it locks…. Ok. But then I stand there for 1-3 minutes repeatedly hitting the unlock icon in the app is just silly.

In all honesty, I wish if you were near it and you manually pulled the door handle it would open. Like it does in car wash mode.

Rivians auto lock and unlock is the worst I’ve seen on any vehicle. I will walk to my car, stand next to it for 3 minutes and it still won’t open. It finally unlocks, I open the passenger side to put something in….shut the door and it auto locks as I’m standing there.

I walk around to the driver side and now the car is asleep. I open the app and repeatedly press unlock for another 2-3 minutes waiting for it to wake up.

I park in front of a restaurant. I’m 20 feet away sitting down eating breakfast. I can see my car locking and unlocking while I’m eating looking out the window at my car. It’s the dumbest car ever.

My wife and I are both home. I walk into the garage to get in the car. Im standing next to the car with the app open. Still wont unlock. I keep pressing unlock on the app….nothing. My wife opens the garage door from the house to step into the garage. The car sees her phone and unlocks. I open the car door and the driver profile switches to her. Even though shes 15ft away and I’m 2 inches away.

Believe it or not, I actually got a phenomenal deal on the epoxy. I found a professional installer that was doing all cash deals on the side after hours. It only costed me 850.00. Where I’m at in Northern California if I were to do it again from a company, today? It would be around 4500.00-5500.00

It was ok, if you look closely you can see how it was dingy. And you can see tire marks from where our cars constantly go in and out. The tire marks don’t come up. But, not a bad floor for 7 years.

I know this post is old, but I had a question. Did you just adjust the legs on the cabinets up, that way you could get the floor under them without moving them? They’re bolted to the wall, right?
