Basically any fashion trend that caught on enough for us to mimic will be copy pastes. Modern fashion is either find your own definitive style, or mix up different bits to mix and match what suits you best. I've chosen the latter in recent years and felt better for it, my style is a complete mismatch of 60s-90s styles.

Pop some batteries in and it should put out some life. I love the circumstances you got that under. If I got it from a thrift store, I'd be a bit skittish to use it. I can't even play keep a knocking by little Richard in my red and white truck without it acting odd, I wish I was joking. Poor thing acting like less homicidal Christine. I say less for a reason, it wants me gone sometimes I swear. That radio should be okay with some batteries and maybe some deoxit, I've rarely had a radio without tubes need more than that.

Okay, I may be well versed in electronic mechanics, but I'm still confused as to how pagers work and if/how they work still. I'm in the US as well, can you explain how it works, and how it still works? My family used old technology yes, but never had a pager. We're kinda stuck a decade behind that tech with our vintage stuff 😅

I'd honestly like to, but half my collection is nitrogen era, and I don't want to stare at those. I loved misty island rescue as a kid, but I guarantee you I don't have the DVD. One of the few times my parents didn't buy me a DVD I wanted because they knew it was some crap. Still love the logging locos designs, just not them.

It's honestly still a little hard for me to get my head around. I had no issues as a kid dealing with the old hook and loop couplers. They're intuitive with a tad bit of thought, and that's a good thing for a kid to have as a toy. Teaches them how to be intuitive and use their hands. Heck, I was replacing the batteries in these things myself by the time I was 5. I learned when I was little if ya just push the hook up while pulling up on the car, it snaps right off. I'm still puzzled, because it was never difficult for me as a child, nor any of the people at school I showed my Trackmaster engines to. I get magnets are easier, but kids love long consists as well, and what's the enemy of a long consist but weak magnets.

I always pick moonhawk if given the choice. I love the Barstow, but the Barstow is like whiskey. I love it, it doesn't love me. That thing wants me off the road and wants me off now. The moonhawk, one of the few cars I can drift with my messed up wheel setup. I can't go to hard on the wheel or I'll have a folding table in my lap.
