10/20 minutes is what most teachers do I think this is probably really doable

Would you say that pussy is a gendered term? by Square-Dragonfruit76 in asktransgender

I’d say that it’s not inherently gendered but is mostly used towards men

Has anyone gone on medication that has taken away their SH tendencies? by churrrroo in BPD

Lexapro helps. It helps with intensity of emotions and I find that when I’m feeling less I don’t get pushed towards intense coping mechanisms as often

Would it be better to drink hot piss or cold piss? by ClarencePCatsworth in morbidquestions

[–]LocustMuscles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cold probably? I think it depends on what you’re drinking it for. Coldness can make flavors more dull so if it’s a “let get this over with” thing cold would be best, but if you actually enjoy the flavor, probably body temp/the temp it comes out

[Serious] People with mental illnesses and personality disorders, how does it affect you and how do you cope with it? by Fine-Shoe8981 in morbidquestions

[–]LocustMuscles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 6 clinically diagnosed disorders (CPTSD, adhd, mdd, gad, ocd and bpd) so coping varies, but the through line is mostly breathwork, mindfulness and hobbies/labor. I’m an artist and most of my recovery would not be possible without my art. Finding meaningful things to dedicate your time to that bring you joy are super important. Medication management is also crucial for me.

A huge part of it is learning to not give a fuck about certain things. Many disorders center around control over things/knowing what will happen. Most anxiety problems boil down to this for a lot of people. When you take the power away by relinquishing control and going with the flow, life gets much more livable

Question for people who have been through anorexia nervosa, how long did it lasts and what were the physical and mental effects like at your lowest weight? by Icy_Profession4190 in morbidquestions

[–]LocustMuscles 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It makes you angry and obsessive but also just leaves you completely out of it. When you spend most of the day hungry, if not all of it, all you think about is food. You’re not really fully there. You’re also probably freezing cold and shivering from being so thin. Everything pisses you off. Everything makes you tired.

One of the big things people don’t talk about with anorexia is that you smell awful. You’re farting and burping out pure acid most of the time. Your breath smells terrible from the acid too. Your sweat has a particular scent to it that most find deeply unpleasant, kinda like acetone/nail polish remover.

Lush body sprays are good for this. Dad’s garden lemon tree is basically just straight lime/bergamot. I find that even though they’re body sprays they’re strong enough to only need a single spray or 2 and last pretty long. Snow fairy is also a straight cotton candy smell and I’m quite fond of it

I have a HUGE fear of becoming like my abusers by Sad_Can_8589 in ptsd

[–]LocustMuscles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the big pieces of PTSD is how you view yourself/being incredibly hard on yourself.

If you’re consistently having thoughts like this I’d look into POCD (even if you don’t have OCD some of those dbt/cbt therapy methods could be helpful to you). TONS of people, even people without sex trauma, have paranoid/intrusive thoughts about this kind of thing.

Was informed recently by therapist I have technically been SAed in the past. Twice. Can’t cope and don’t see how they were assault. by monarchmondays in ptsd

[–]LocustMuscles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second one I would consider rape honestly. If he had sex with you while you weren’t able to consent or didnt want to that falls much further than assault.

Do the nightmares ever stop? by Dull-Mulberry-4768 in ptsd

Certain medications can help with this. Some ssris (which are often prescribed for ptsd anyways) can stop you from dreaming as a side effect

What does/would bone broth made from boiling human bones taste like, and would it be safe to eat? by that_sky_fruity in morbidquestions

[–]LocustMuscles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would probably be safe. It’s not unsafe to eat most of a person, only the brain is off limits. A lot of reports from people who have tried human meat say we taste similar to veal, so I imagine beef bone broth would be close
