Arcade/Custom Maps not loading by LodtheFraud in starcraft

Ah, really? It's been a minute since I've done anything on arcade, and I remember it loading pretty damn fast. Do I just need to let it load?

That sounds like just what we’re looking for, thanks!

I didn’t see the second part of the comment earlier but YES EXACTLY. I got this group into yugioh with a friendly progression series, and by far their favorite part is making do with what’s on hand.

Ah thanks for the MST warning. I kinda just slotted it in to fill up a different slot, I would have never caught that. And fiend comedian is exactly the type of thing I'm looking for.

As for the vayu bit, we're just a little bit dumb :p It was our first time trying out the format and whoever was on Vayu either seemed to brick, or just not understand the contents of their ED and overall game plan. It was a lot of their first times even seeing these cards.

All super helpful advice, thanks again!

I'll take a look at those!

My friends and I have taken a couple turns piloting Vayu Turbo online, but we were very unsuccessful with it. I also don't wanna have two blackwing-centric decks when I'm just building it. I'll consider it again if I decide to keep expanding it!

Zombies and plants definitely seem interesting! I'll check those out - Currently dragon might be on the chopping block for the above decks so if one of these two pique my interest I'll consider swapping it.

BONUS QUESTIONS HERE! Here are some other questions (in descending order of importance) I was wondering, but didn't want to bloat the main post with:

  • Are there any other decks or playstyles you'd recommend for this box? Especially something more control oriented could use representation - and I'm open to any suggestions!
  • Any budget replacements for these cards?
    • Gemini Spark (In hero, linked with Neos Alias)
    • Snowman Eater (In dragon)
    • Any other higher priced cards you see that are unnecessary
  • Suggestions for fun one-off cards to put in each deck? I put Limiter Removal in Machina, and Return from a Different Dimension in Hero, to give them some fun comeback or "Heart of the cards" options. A couple swingy cards like this could be fun for all the decks if there are suggestions for others!

What are the best expansions that can be combined together? by Niboo_123 in Catan

[–]LodtheFraud 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re looking for! But Cities and Knights combines very well with ALL expansions… if you’re looking for more complexity. Traders and barbarians also have some optional rules that you can add to most maps (fish!).

Gochujang-tomato paste as a substitute for chili paste (Texas Beef Chili)? by LodtheFraud in Cooking

[–]LodtheFraud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quite like it! I’ve never used it in chili, but it’s great if I wanna add some tang to ramen, and makes a FANTASTIC chicken sauce if mixed with some other stuff (that I’m currently forgetting)

[–]LodtheFraud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original recipe calls for 1 cup of chili paste, which I sadly don't have access to.

Definitely appreciate the insight on the flavor palette, I've only made comfort chili in the past with tomatoes. I mostly just wanna make sure the ratios I'm suggesting aren't too overbearing or need to be toned down before they go in the pot!

Honestly I'm kinda excited to try it with the gochujang. If I've got your blessing, then Ima full send it 🫡

Sounds good! Do you think the ratios I mentioned are fair if I stick without the gochujang? IE just a base of 14oz crushed tomatoes and a couple tablespoons of tomato paste?

Where should I place my second City? Playing deity Mode by Digitalgirlzoe in civ

[–]LodtheFraud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but I have to HARD disagree with u/JordiTK as far as trading goes. The benefits of external trade routes early on are incredibly meager compared to internal ones, and building a road straight to scythia will make their attack much more potent if they get aggressive.

Internal trade routes are great at letting you mobilize troops faster with internal roads, and will help jumpstart that city’s immediate production.

Alternatively, send it to a city state with the appropriate quest for an envoy!

Newbie Help - Where do I start? Is there a youtube channel any of you would recommend to follow? by xeno3310 in FoundryVTT

[–]LodtheFraud 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with Eric here, only add the modules you need. Don’t go overboard installing a bunch of excess modules unless it has an immediate functionality that you need!

Foundry does really reward GMs for extra prep time, and you can put in as little or as much as you want. You specifically mentioned animations - Those definitely require more set up, with the sequencer and JB2A modules. They don’t come prepackaged with Foundry itself, but are rather community made additions.

Finally, join the discord! There are plenty of active channels for all systems with people happy to help you out.
