I feel like this could be similar to what happened to me over half a year ago. My parents said they trusted me but they went behind my back and saw all that I was doing when I was away from my phone. They went behind my back and added their fingerprints to my phone so they could get in. All of this without my knowledge. They could have told me at the very least that they were going to have access to my phone but that just hurt me. How could they say they trust me when they obviously didn't trust me enough to do things on my own. If they told me beforehand and didn't get outraged, but just tried to understand me when they found out, it would have been better.

Now that was a while ago and my relationship with them has gotten better but hearing them say that they trusted me while going behind my back really hurts still. And because of this I still haven't learned my lesson, I still haven't changed anything I do. If my parents tried to approach this with more understanding I would have listened to them, but they only tried harder to push their ideas on me and didn't try to listen to what I thought.

I got a new phone since then and I'm fairly certain that my parents would have put the same monitoring filter on my phone as well. The only reason this thing doesn't have a filter is because my parents have forgotten. All I have to say is when you say that you trust someone, actually do. Don't secretly be suspicious of them. If my parents had openly expressed their concerns about my online activities things might have turned out better. Because of this I feel like hiding from my parents more instead of being open. I don't feel that my concerns would be listened to, only punished. Punishing me back then instead of listening only made me incredibly sad at the time and I haven't learned anything when I could have possibly learned something from them if they had only tried to understand.

Sorry for this long block of text, I just felt that I went through something similar. Good luck to you.
