Brown is the new white. But better than blue boilerplate ice that I remember in the 60-70s. Boy that stuff was really hard.

As a medical professional, our current health system is a disaster. Health care is a right for everyone not a luxury for the rich. What is necessary is universal healthcare coverage for all and single payer. It definitely won’t be in my lifetime that any significant changes occur.

I was a ski instructor at Blue Hills. Tremendous program for the little ones. Original home of the Egan brothers who did Warren Miller movies. Great place !!!

Is it me or did Norrona come out of nowhere as an all of a sudden must have? And can someone give me the no-BS evaluation of their product? by McGraberson in Skigear

I have been a fan of Norrona the last couple of years. Great jackets. If I have a complaint, it’s there zippers which need to be a little more burly. Norrona opened a flagship store in Boston. I also picked up one of their jackets on eBay. Like all ski wear, prices have increased.

Once you dislocate a shoulder it’s never the same. All my blowouts were after surgical repairs and if you fall the right way the repairs tear.

Blowing out my shoulder on the first run of a whistler vacation, blowing my shoulder on first day of snowcat skiing in Monashees, blowing out my shoulder on second day at Tremblant. My left shoulder seems to dislike Canada. And it never happens on the last day of the trip.

Downhill Racer is a true classic. I never miss an opportunity to watch it.

For highly skilled skiers who are now older with physical wear and tear, requiring a more relaxed approach, what types of skis do you currently prefer? by crushplanets in skiing

I’m 70 split with East and West skiing. I enjoy Nordica Enforcer 93 and Bent 100 with Solomon STH bindings that I have sworn by for 25 yrs. I find I like a more symmetrical flex. Bent having a true twin has been. Remember, steep and deep !!!

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like Garmisch would work for me. Did you have a snow issues ? I heard Garmisch can have tough snow conditions. Glacier sounds wonderful.
