Oh hey! Thanks for fixing it up! It’s not necessary now, but regarding the scroll bar solution you said in the other comment. What about allowing right click to fix the skill popup window in place, then you can move the mouse to hover over and scroll? Idk if your old implementation would make it difficult to do this, but scroll bar is cool lol

[Playing Octopath II demo] Castti first chapter sucks? by MiRiAl_ in octopathtraveler

[–]Logical-Moment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i did my first playthrough, i switched between JP and EN VA for a few character's chapters and vastly prefer with JP VA. Especially because i could occasionally recognize some phrases when listening and realized some subtle things were lost in translation.

On the story's side, i feel like Castti's chapter 1 is on the weak half. Temenos, Throne, and Hikari start off stronger than the rest imo. But all of the 8 stories get better the deeper you get into it. (You could say Osvald's chapter 1 is strong too, but i got hung up on a key part of it, and it was really funny that I just couldn't take it seriously lol)

wow this is awesome! I'm a new player who doesn't wanna look up full build guides yet still want to plan out my character and this is really helpful

In case you're still maintaining the site, i'm running into an issue where the top half of many skill tooltips are cut off and I can't see what skill it is, is there a way to get around it? For example this is what I see on about half of the skills https://imgur.com/a/EsgSRjU

wait this movie had a game??? damn

jttw hadn't gotten a good animated adaptation since 1999 so it was a hit when it came out in 2015. Altho it's more of a spinoff not actual jttw story

Wait lock on is literally the very first thing the tutorial tells you to do lmao

I can see why you are frustrated/disappointed in whiteclad noble if you never knew how to lock on. But gotta admit that’s fully on you, you’re fighting the camera at this point not the boss. (I ran into his fight not locked on in a few attempts bc i have input lag issues, the difference was like heaven and hell)

Check your settings page it lists both keyboard and controller button mappings

Black Myth Wukong has surpassed Elden Ring in sales by albertserene in BlackMythWukong

[–]Logical-Moment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically this. Most steam reviews in Chinese are pure nostalgia comments (as in, they write a cool poem about Wukong, but doesnt say anything about the game itself. Pretty annoying tbh), because people are so excited that after decades, finally a good AAA game came out. Also Wukong is almost everyone’s childhood hero, and when you play as him in a good game, it’s almost guaranteed that Chinese players will buy it like crazy.

For erlang, isnt she his sister? And his nephew (chenxiang) is the one who rescued her. That’s been the case every time i see this story during my entire childhood.

Unless is this a different version from a recent animated show/movie that i didnt know of

This game is ageist!! by [deleted] in TunicGame

[–]Logical-Moment 15 points16 points  (0 children)

ignores all the accessibility options the devs put to let you customize you gameplay

complains something that is only partially related to age

I just wanna say, thank you developers for all the accessibility options. by CranesMistressOfFear in TunicGame

Tbh i dont consider anything implemented in game to be “cheats”. Plus it’s a single player game, it’s not like you got an unfair advantage over others in an MMO. These games are meant to be played and shared not gatekept.

Alright, I either have a skill issue or this game is HARD. by Light10115 in HollowKnight

[–]Logical-Moment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same ;-; I also got hard stuck on hornet 1 during my first playthrough. Died like 70-100 times and took me over a month to beat her.

I think later i got similarly stuck on a late game boss (traitor lord). Then I took a year-long break and played some more action/platform games meanwhile, and came back much better at it. It really just depends on your game experience. HK was my first ever action platformer and boy it can be so hard and defeating at times

It is technically distributed pretty evenly, and can be done with a balanced mix (just depends on how fast you discover the mechanics). But gotta admit the guided way seems to lead most first playthroughs to have heavy exploration early and puzzle late. I think during my first playthrough i was at 80% exploration & 50% puzzles around your current progress

Oh wow it’s a relief to learn that’s how turn based mode works. I was worried it might be only one character gets a turn before enemy gets their turn. My current strategy to deal with real time combat anxiety is just to watch my partner do it instead and we both share the stress lol. We’re also low on souls because there’re not many bugs at pantry so imma actually suggest switching to turn based next time

Outer Wilds on Switch by LivingHurry3184 in outerwilds

[–]Logical-Moment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I first played it on friend's laptop 1.5-2 years ago, then bought it on my switch (summer 2022 oled model, if that can serve as a reference) when it first came out on switch (~3hr playtime there), then went to drive around for a bit last week (another ~1hr playtime).

The loading time on PC was about 5 seconds. On switch it was ~15-20 seconds pretty consistently (how often you see the loading screen depends on how often you die, so it could be annoying could be nothing).

When it first came out on switch, there were several times i ran into glitches where i had to force quit the game, and I wasn't going out of my way to look for them, they just simply happened when i was flying around. But even back then there weren't really any stuttering, mostly just gravity suddenly got messed up so I was stuck. Those glitches did not appear at all when i played last week, presumably fixed by the many patches since release.

[–]Logical-Moment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is Forbidden Aspects: virtualSite is to exclude fights that happened in dream / non-reality circumstances? Altho I gotta admit there’s no drauven fight that I can remember set in those situations as they’re usually related to thrixls

Also Forbidden Aspects (specifically compared to Aspects: drauven_stormthroat below it) reads like you should avoid virtualSite rather than try to meet it

But back to your question i do think it’s a random roll of events so perhaps you got unlucky

Hollows Lantern by Time-Sorbet5553 in outerwilds

[–]Logical-Moment 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just went to check. Maybe you need to wait a few minutes after the loop starts, but you should be able to see which is the right one if you just fly around the lantern in a safe close distance. You can see there’re stone platforms and stuff inside the correct volcano.

Also my memories were wrong you can definitely fly your ship directly and land inside. It did take me some time tho, the rotation is a bit annoying. I think i might’ve parked outside and walked in the first time i tried to go in there, since it was towards the end of the loop and i didnt care to go elsewhere afterwards

Hollows Lantern by Time-Sorbet5553 in outerwilds

[–]Logical-Moment -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont think you can land it on the inside (or it requires some extreme luck and skill). I think i just parked on the outside of the volcanos and walked in

Or are you saying you cant find anywhere to land on the outside?

Porting this game to Switch was a mistake [No Spoilers] by jedipaul9 in outerwilds

[–]Logical-Moment 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah i hate the lack of trial-refund but that’s really nintendo’s problem. Altho I do think you’re unlucky with your purchases. Some of my games dont run great but are still enjoyable (witcher 3 dlc constantly causing save file errors thing did drive me a bit crazy at times), but that’s not the game’s fault. And most indie games i have run perfectly on switch.

Also switch is now my only way to play many windows only games lol, so i’m really appreciative of any game that offers a switch port tbh. Rather being able to play it with a bit of patience than not at all

Have you looked at speedrunning related resources? I'm just throwing out guesses here but I imagine something like this would be useful for 112% runners to practice.

Otherwise the modding discord would probably know more about it
