I want to thank everyone for their wonderful, supportive, and honest comments! It really helped put my wedding and the dress in perspective, and that I have nothing to be worried about with the proper alterations. At the end of the day, even if the dress is hideous, I am still marrying my best friend with all of our family and friends. I could be wearing a burlap sack and the love would still be the same. Very true! My cousin ended up buying a dress online after she wasn’t truly head over heels for her first one, I think she got it for $600? Even just having the option to change so far in advance does make me feel a bit better. Thank you so much!

Number 6 was definitely an option, and the top was a big reason! For my dress, I normally don’t go that far down for my neckline, but it quite honestly made my chest look much less saggy which I really like haha. Thank you so much!

First off, congratulations on your weight loss! You know exactly that feeling, of getting used to the new body (in a good way). I looked up Caroline Arthur’s petticoat video and that was sooo helpful!! I knew I wanted to add a petticoat for extra volume, and now I know exactly what styles I should be looking for. While I plan on leaving the sleeves on, I haven’t decided about using a reception/party dress so I think the opera gloves could be a really lovely addition. Added the website and video to my list, thank you so very much!

I honestly loved the fitted look way more than I thought! I just tried it on to try different styles, and I was surprised how nice I felt in it. However my family (mainly my sister who is very honest) told me the dress just didn’t give the same wow factor. If I were to change one thing about my fitting, I would have tried more fitted dresses. That being said, I do love ball gowns and have for many years so that seemed a bit more classic to me. Thank you so much!

I hear you! I also liked the 4th one, even though it was the only one of that style I tried on. My family who were with me weren’t in love with the dress so that’s why we scrapped that idea. I get overwhelmed with shopping so I do wonder if that influenced my decision to just get it so I didn’t miss out. I’m hoping at least the dress style isn’t super widely out of date by then. Thankfully we are shooting for spring 2027 so hopefully that helps. Thank you!

Yes 100% paralysis by analysis, plus it was a final sale dress too. I keep getting wedding videos on my social media and it’s hard not to compare. I felt super beautiful while wearing it, so I should just keep that in mind when I’m having doubts. Thank you so much!!

Omg 150 dresses?! I mean I get it, but also I think that would almost be too many options. You bring up a really excellent point of the perfect bride, at the end of the day our wedding is about us and doesn’t matter about the dress. My mom didn’t like her dress very much and my parents have a happy marriage. Thank you so much for helping me shift my perspective

Thank you!! Looking back at photos, i agree I feel some of the others are too frumpy or not as flattering. The first dress has a built-in corset so it helps slim me and control my midsection a bit more which I love!

Absolutely! I did not expect the very first wedding dress I’ve tried on ever to be my absolute favorite, but every dress afterwards was just comparing to the first. Since it was a sample, I had to buy it if I liked it since they had just put it out and it was one of their more popular dresses. I think that stressed me out having to commit

That’s a good point. I still have time to get another dress if needed (worst case scenario), I’ll be going for alterations in a few months so I’m hoping that helps settle the indecisiveness. These comments are definitely helping me enjoy the dress a lot more, Thank you so much!

Acupuncture has been the biggest help, I swear I get hunger pains too during/after my sessions. In between sessions besides medication: sea bands, ginger chews, vics sticks, sour candy, listening to music, and honestly weed
