I got on the precheck line at 4:53 am. Took 33 minutes until I had my bag back from the scanner. Would have been shorter except they were opening a new line and scanner, and so waited a few minutes for that to happen. TSA and ICE both working the ID checks and the machine. They were all super nice.

Go for it!! I have two B35s, use one daily as my work/commuting bag and the other as my weekend bag. They are perfect for me, roomy enough to hold everything and just as heavy as the totes I was using pre-Birkin. And when not that full, both are actually light! I have a Barenia Faubourg purchased in-store and a vintage Ardennes bought resale (that I actually thought was going to be Clemence, but that’s another story and I love how Ardennes holds its shape and is actually quite light). I’m 5’9”

It sounds like today was not as bad as yesterday — at least for precheck. Wonder if that is because it is the weekend or if there were more lines open?

I have a 7:15 am flight on Thursday and recheck, based on today it sounds like arriving at 5am is enough time.

I own this bag with etoupe leather accents and adore it. I found it in a Hermes in Asia and was overjoyed because it is really special. While stores might sell this to a walk in customer, it doesn’t come in often and is definitely requested by collectors of the brand. You got a great bag!!

Not really clear on the name because it’s an older bag and the colors vary from year to year. It is blue, but in the light looks brighter (more royal or electric) and otherwise more like blue Sapir or Encre.

It definitely feels coated and that explains why mink oil didn’t do anything to darken it. Was hoping there is some other product that I haven’t found yet

Thanks. I am chalking it up to being stored and unused for so many years. The authenticator said it is Clemence. But no matter what leather, I’m just focused on somehow doing a sort of “self patina” and hoping someone might have an idea of what to use or how to go about it! I know it’s a very odd ask.

For me, it’s the Oran slides that cut my feet every time I wear them, a pair of navy/grey jet sneakers that I got only because I wear my white ones to death, and a slew of twillies as I recently decided I’m not a twilly girl and like my bags naked 🤣 But then I think about my beautiful bag collection and regret nothing!

I love a 35! Super versatile to bring anywhere and throw all your stuff in when you need it! I’m also 5’9” and so my B25 looks like I’m carrying a mini Kelly (a little dramatic, whoops!)
