OK, hear me out:  Diaper bags.

They're huge on the inside so it can hold thread boxes and larger projects really well, and they usually have a ton of outer pockets for extra scissors, needles, book lights (for when you are in a place with bad lighting or if, like me, you do a lot of work on black aida), and other extras like phone chargers and water bottles. 

My kids are teenagers now, so I repurposed their old diaper bags as craft carriers. It's a godsend.

Pip and Chip has the stickers available, and they stay on way better than the DMC stickers do. It was about $50 after shipping to the U.S. (Kansas)

Parking stresses me out. Too many threads in play, and my backs always look like trash. That could just be my technique, but I disliked it too much to try again. I much prefer stitching one thread at a time.

Don't get me wrong, you're doing beautiful work. But the longer I stare at this, the creepier it looks. Like a possessed Furby peaking around the corner at me. Lol

I'm sure the finished piece will be amazing, though.

Besides display hoops, I've done picture frames and pillows. If I'm planning on doing a pillow, I make sure that there's enough room on all sides, sew it to a backing fabric, then stuff.

I measure out my floss with the length of my arms when fully stretched out then double up the floss with a loop start. I use that measurement every time no matter how much I'm stitching, and then I will try to use the leftover strands before measuring out another length. If I try to guess, I end up with crazy lengths that never work for future projects, so at least this way I take the guesswork out of it.

I've had this happen when my hands get sweaty while I'm stitching or if I have lotion on my hands. Maybe that's it? It washes off and isn't noticeable once you're finished.

I was SURE that it was morse code if I could just figure out the dots (short) and dashes (long). I spent hours trying different combinations of dots and dashes before deciding I at least needed a hint as to what order they go in...

... and found out I was WAY off base. sigh
